The Yost M7WW is designed for the home or professional woodworker. The vise is built from rugged cast iron. It features a quick release that disengages the screw for speedy adjustment. Simply pull the lever and slide the jaw in or out. Engage the screw by turning the handle clockwise for super holding control. The M7WW has 7 in. W jaws with an 8 in. maximum opening. The vise features a buttress threaded main screw for powerful clamping. The bench dog can be used in conjunction with a bench stop for oversized projects. The vise jaws have predrilled holes to allow optional wood facings (not included) to be mounted to the vise.

The size @ 7″ is great for what I’m doing, I did fit it with oversize 10″ x 3/4 ” thick oak jaws though-The rapid action feature saves bunches of time and energy, and is easy to adapt to and use. The base has 4 fastener holes/slots for solid mounting–it does require a clear space for travel (under the bench) so keep that in mind. Good instructions, easy bolt in place, probably outlast me!

Good, rugged vise for home workshop. Notched bench top so the stationary jaw is flush with the front of the bench.

Met expectation. Well made. Handy quick release and adjustable dog are added benefits to this bench vice.

This is a heavy-duty vise, seems to be quality, but operation is not as smooth as I would have expected.

works as well as I expected, no problems

I bought this vise to use as an end vise on my bench. Added a 1 1/2″ chop with a dog hole linden up with the dog holes a long the front of my bench. Works great. I’m very pleased.

Can’t provide a very detailed review as of yet. Just got it mounted on workbench but haven’t had to use it yet. I had a Rockler 9″ bench vise before that had the same type of quick release function. From what I see of this one, the functionality seems to much better using the lever to disengage the carriage.

The jaws aren’t perfectly square, but it’s good enough for the work I’m doing!

This vice was just what I have been looking for for a few years now. The price was lower than I have ever seen on a vice of this quality. I have no complaints at all with the vice or the service from Home Depot.

I always wanted a quality woodworking vise; this is it. It required a bit of thought to install (I took it completely apart and attached the back jaw to the bench, then unattached, reassembled, and remounted). After reading all the reviews about bench top thickness I knew I had buy first, adjust 2n

The Yost 7 inch woodworking vise appears to be exactly what I need. The fit and finish look to be acceptable considering the price range. It has not been mounted to a bench yet so I cannot verify functionality.

Easy to install, pretty smooth movement. Release lever is a little stiff and tricky to get use to.For the price worth it.

This appears excellent. I have not installed at this point as we currently still in the move in process.

Perfect size for the garage shop. Plenty of sure grip on some large rough work pieces which I was able to aggressively plane by hand. I also rock steady grip while sawing large work. I got this one specifically for the dog tab to work dog holes on my bench. That system is working well on test pieces. The rapid action release is a bonus for me. I didn’t think much about that but now that I have a vise with this feature, I won’t want to go without it moving forward. If you are trying to make up your mind between this one the smaller hobby wood working vise, I’d say go ahead spend the extra few bucks for this 7 inch is well worth it.
