Designed for high-performance gaming and multitasking, the Ryzen 3 3300X Quad-Core AM4 Processor from AMD has a base clock speed of 3.8 GHz, a maximum turbo frequency of 4.3 GHz, and supports PCIe 4.0 bandwidth. Additionally, this processor features four cores with eight threads in an AM4 socket with 16MB of L3 cache memory. Having four cores allows the processor to run multiple programs simultaneously without slowing down the system, while the eight threads allow a basic ordered sequence of instructions to be passed through or processed by a single CPU core. This processor also has a TDP of 65W. It is also unlocked, meaning it can be overclocked past its maximum turbo frequency. However, this is not recommended, as it will cause the processor to run much hotter. This CPU includes a Wraith Stealth cooling solution.

Never heard of B&H and only used them because they had the best price at the time. I will not use them again, the heatsink is damaged and my cpu is constantly throttling from high temps. I would send it back to AMD, but I use the PC for work and I’m need internet access for the nest 3 months on a 24 hour basis. You get what you pay for!

Awesome processor, best-bang-for-the-buck!

Prices a bit high Vs. a i5 10400 with 6 cores and 12 threads, but for pure gaming it’s great! Also a much better motherboard is a lot cheaper for this Vs. Intel so I guess you’re saving more in a way. Paired it with a Gtx 1660 ti and get very solid results for 1080p gaming!

Great CPU for 1080p gaming paired with an rx570…use in a motherboard that can accept 3000 series ryzen

I used this in my first PC build and it handles everything I’ve thrown at it so far. Gaming, web browsing, and video editing have been a smooth experience so far but the 3300x does heat up quite a bit when under a heavy load. However, if you plan on editing 4K video I suggest upgrading to a Ryzen 5 or 7 if you want fast export speeds.

I edit photos and videos a on a regular basis, and my laptop just isn’t up to the task anymore. So when I finally decided to build a PC, I went for a build that wouldn’t break the bank while also outperforming my Macbook Pro. The Ryzen 3300X is excellent for productivity and has handled every game I’ve thrown at it so far. While the included cooler works great for my current workload, there are times where temps go higher than 80 degrees on days where my workload is much heavier. In situations like those I recommend upgrading to a much better cooler. When paired with a solid GPU, this thing chews through video encoding without much of an issue. I’d definitely reccomend this for entry-level PC builds until upgrading to a CPU with higher core counts.
