The classic Scotts 20 in. 5-Blade Push Reel Mower is the clean, quiet, and healthy way to take care of your lawn. Gas-powered rotary mowers produce emissions and the blades hack at the grass, tearing vital fluids from the grass leaving them open to disease and insect attacks. With Scotts 20 in. reel mower there is no ripping or tearing of the grass blades. The 5-blade reel snips the grass, cutting each blade of grass like a pair of scissors, leaving your lawn greener and healthier. With the grass catcher included, this reel mower is an easy way to maintain your lawn. This reel mower is easy to assemble, lightweight, easy to operate and convenient to store. Keep your lawn healthy with Scotts reel mowers.

Does a decent job of cutting. Works pretty well on the St Augustine and Bermuda. Can’t manage to get the seed stalks on the crabgrass though

easy to assemble and easy to use, with very sharp blades. However the bag assembly could use a redesign.

Smooth operation, precise cutting, light weight enough to work into otherwise difficult to reach corners. This push mower is well worth the money, and note that it comes with a good, efficient grass catcher.

This mower works great for my small yard. It spins and cuts great ever over bumpy sections. Assembly was very simple and quick.

Really solid piece of machinery. Blades cut the grass really well and it will force you to clean up the debris on your lawn and also show you the unlevel spots in your lawn. Understand what you’re purchasing before you claim it doesn’t work. Set it at the appropriate height, which it has many settings BTW, and push away. The bagger is a little clunky so I don’t use it everytime.

Just what we needed for our small lawn.

Easily put this together. Perfect for use a few weeks after shoulder surgery. I am able to push it with my non-dominant hand. Extremely impressed with how easy it is to maneuver and does an excellent job on my lawn. One of my best purchases…ever!

I originally thought I would get a battery operated lawn mower because I don’t want to buy gas or have the maintenance of a gas-powered but I decided against the battery operated and replace my old reel mower with this new one. The handle on my old one broke and I’m glad it did! The 20″ is wonderful! Nice wide path makes mowing time a lot shorter. It cut great even with it being wet! I wasn’t going to do the whole yard since it was wet but because I was getting done so much quicker than I expected I went ahead and did the whole thing. I’m looking forward to spring mowing! Some said reel mowers don’t cut dandelions and I don’t know where they’re coming from because I had some and it cut them. The only drawback I would say is the grass catcher. A lot of grass went up over the lawn mower and it could be my expectation since this is the first time I’ve used a grass catcher. I’m not sorry I have it since it did help.

Assembly was straightforward. Attachment of grass catcher to mower requires extra focus but the joy of pushing a sharp, reel mower across one’s lawn more than compensates.Highly recommend the experience, lack of pollution, and reduced cost to all lawn care enthusiasts!

Doesn’t cut very well, just goes over some of the grass like the mower hasn’t touched it. Doesn’t pull the grass up like a power mower which has a vacuum deck.

Easy to use, very clean cut

The are thrilled with our new Scott’s 20 inch lawn mower, we just laid 2,200 sq. ft. of sod and this is exactly what we needed. Putting it together was easy please.

Easy to install and easy to mow small yard grass. mine is about 5000 yards (front and back combined) works great!

I have a small lawn that’s not very thick. It doesn’t cut as cleanly as a regular lawnmower, particularly on long grass or any taller stems like the flowering stems of weeds or weedy grasses. It just leaves them standing. If you have a uniform, healthy weed-free lawn I think this mower would work better, but you can’t let the grass get too long. I haven’t used the grass catcher yet. I like that it’s lightweight, manuverable, quiet, and doesn’t stink!

Very easy to use, not much effort to push and cuts grass good

I love that I can mow my yard, get a little exercise, and not use a drop of fossil fuels.
Marc Hessel (verified owner) –
Most unbelievable, easy to operate, no fuel, no spark plug, no carburetor, easy to assemble mower I have ever had ! Have mowed almost every day cause it is so fun!
Ashlynn Gaylord (verified owner) –
Does a nice job for small lawns. Works well if you don’t let the grass get too high. Otherwise long blades are difficult to cut. Use wd-40 on blades after each cut.
Monica Larkin (verified owner) –
It works great when the grass is kept mowed. If that can’t happen due to rain, etc. it doesn’t cut the tall grass as well.
