The RIDGID 14-Gallon 2-stage industrial wet dry vac has certified HEPA filtration and meets the EPA’s definition of a HEPA vacuum under RRP rule for lead paint renovations. It also offers large capacity, rugged construction, and excellent mobility for pro, contractor, industrial and commercial use. The dual blower wheel is driven by an 11.5 amp motor to deliver the heavy duty, high-lift suction needed to efficiently handle the toughest wet or dry worksite or shop clean-up tasks. The 10 ft. premium locking pro-hose won’t pull loose during use and is 4 times more durable than a standard hose. The vac’s pro hose won’t crimp providing optimum airflow. This unit also features a cord wrap, a heavy duty 2-piece drum construction, accessory storage, and Scroll Noise Reduction Technology for quiet operation. Replacement Filter HF1000 Sold separately.
- Powerful 11.5 Amp, 2-stage motor produces 80 in. of water lift

Thanks for having this available under EPA approved regulations.

It seems to be of similar good+ quailty as is most other Ridgid shop vacs I own. My dislikes are as follows:1) the beater bar has a tendency to grab any loose yarn/fibers in or on the carpet and wind it around the rotating drum. This condition exists in most vaccums with a rotating brush/beater head but the Ridgid is difficult to remove the rotating drum to aid in the removal of the yarn. 2) numerous great attachments but insufficient room in the on board cady.

Needed a hepa vacuum to be in compliance with the new lead paint removal rules. It was one of the less expensive large shop vacs. on the market. I own a regular Rigid shop vacuum that is many years old and works fine. I have every reason to believe that this one will be of the same quality.

So far it is meeting all of my needs. I need to find vacuum attachments for my sanders that can be attached to this vacuum.

Hepa quality at a reasonable price, very durable, my last one I bought 8 years ago still works great.

Worked great and very good suction but hard to get a full bag out of unit because of the wide base with narrow opening.

Works great very strong, had the regular vac for 5yrs and still going strong. Bought this one due to lead work.

This vac does a great job and the filters keep it from emitting any dust back into the room. I l really like the bag feature, clean and easy disposal without having to lift the heavy vacuum and dump it in the trash. I’ve been using it almost daily for several months and my only complaint is that the hose connector keeps coming loose from the extension wands no matter how tightly I put them together. I would like to see a locking mechanism on the hose to keep it attached to the wands and other attachments

I purchased this Ridgid 14 gal. HEPA Wet/Dry Vac because we have a couple of them at work and I was so impressed that I decided to spend some money and purchase one for my home projects. What really impressed me was that this vacuum is really quiet compared to the Ridgid vac that I had, yet this HEPA vac still has strong suction. I also like the fact that I can use a disposable bag in this HEPA vac because my old Ridgid could not accomodate a bag because it had the removable “blower” feature. Now when I empty out my vacuum, I dont have to breath in all the dust that I sucked into the vacuum. This HEPA vac is a little expensive for us “blue collar” workers, but I have seen HEPA vacs go for over a thousand dollars. And when you consider the features as well as the accessories like the Turbo Brush, attachments and the heavy duty hose, which would be bought separately if you purchased the other shop vacs that Ridgid (or any other shop vac mfg.) sell, then its not so bad. I haven’t had the “issues” that others have had with this vacuum like the loose hose connections or someplace to put the hose on the vacuum. Overall, I would definetely buy this vacuum again, although I think it will last for awhile, and most surely recommend to a friend.

This is the 3rd Rigid Vac I have bought in 10 years, I refinish hardwood floors and bought one of these about 10 years ago (I wrote a review back then that is still up) I liked it so much and had a need for a 2nd so I bought another one. Well, after 10 years of these vacuums running all day long, finally one of them burnt out. so I think I got my moneys worth. So now I bought a 3rd… Great Vac.

Excellent product for the price. Registration is a big hassle. Inexpensive option for businesses looking to meet EPA lead requirements and keeping job site clean and organized

Very nice Vacuum. Lots of accessories and very quiet for a shop vac style.

The unit is great and to put the rollers in the socket was very difficult.

Works really well. Best vac I’ve ever owned. Tool bag on side is a joke though.

This vac seems quiet for a shop vac, but not at the expense of suction which is strong. The fit of the lid and filters is tight, but the hose to connector connections leak quite a bit. I added duct tape to the joints and got a small boost in suction. The casters are rugged and the carrying handle is large and strong. I have had many shop vacs, but this is my first “HEPA” vac.

Even with 3 filters, it has plenty of vacuuming power and it is surprisingly quiet running. I’m surprised that Home Depot hasn’t made it a regular stock item in their stores because it is a commercial HEPA vacuum that every renovator should have for safe cleanup of potentially hazardous dusts.

This is a well designed HEPA vacuum. For the money, it can’t be beat. Exceeded all my expectations.

Owner of Vause Custom Floors in SE Washington state, 20+ years exp in sand in place wood flooring & wood flooring refinish work. We have previously used a major wood floor sanding equipment brands vacuum compatible with our sanders for a dust containment process, other leading brands vacuum costs over 3x the amount of the RIDGID HEPA filtration 14 gal price. Was skeptical of performance capabilities compared to leading wood flooring equip brands product, pleasantly surprised!! Not only comparable, the RIDGID vacuum has been amazing!! I can legitimately use the RIDGID vac for all phases of sanding process, hooks directly to my edger for dust containment, use for vacuuming entire floor prior to full trowell puttying floors, connected to edger for fine sanding, vacuum entire floor for final vac prior to 1st coating or staining, connected to buffer during all buffing phases, and most importantly, continues to work perfectly for the actual final vac prior to applying final coat, leaving behind minimal dust or debris. Only negative aspect I’ve encountered is the dust collection bag, the paper disposable bags work fine, just become very costly using 3-5 bags/job, to overcome this issue, i have researched and purchased several re-usable, easy to dump out and re-use, felt lined vacuum bags. Please, make re-usable felt lined, dumpable vacuum bags. Thank you RIDGID for ALWAYS continuing to design & make numerous, innovative, top quality & lasting tools. I am an avid supporter of the RIDGID TOOLS brand, and will continue to be, with your continued supply of user friendly, quality made, great warranty and durable tools!!
