This thing sucks, in a good way. I’ve used it heavily since I got it, it really pulls dust out of cracks and carpeting. With the beater attachment, it actually does a better job on carpet than my regular household carpet vaccuum. It doesn’t stir up dust in the room at all, and is significantly quieter than my regular (non-HEPA) Rigid shop vac. THe only weakeness of the design is the ridicuylous attachment bag, but whatever, I’m willing to forgive that for all the other features it does have at the price.

I recently got my RRP certification, and was on the lookout for a HEPA vac for the jobsite. I found this to give the most product for the money with the accessories that come with it, including a carpet beater bar that works great! The suction could be a bit better, but that’s pretty normal for a HEPA setup, and it handles everything I’ve needed it to.

Good for the price. Suction not as strong as I would like. It is relatively quiet which is a plus!

I bought this to clean a house we purchased after a flip.I bought it because of the Hepa filtration. I vaccummed all the ceilings and walls first. I didn’t realize it wasn’t working till I got to the floors. It also did not suction the construction dust our of the cabinets. It might work for big debree but not for dust. I returned it and would not recommend it.

I bought this vac being a little skeptical, after the first time using I was very happy with how well it contained the dust. I sand hardwood floors and I know guys in the business who have $3000 dust containment systems, I bought this for just over $400 for the same purpose and am very impressed!!

I do mold and contamination remediation, and am a Lead Safe contractor. I need a HEPA vacuum for my work.I have others with more suction, and a bit better convenience. But it works, and is one of the more economical HEPA vacs on the market. It’s wet-dry capability is unique in machines of this price range, and is appreciated. It has earned its place on the truck.

bought this on Friday. Used it on Tuesday. Supposed to be compliant for Lead and asbestos. Hose broke on Wed. Clogs constantly. I like it overall, but this one must have been made on a Monday or Friday. Very frustrated.

I’ve been using the Ridgid HEPA Vac for a few months now during a move and remodeling project. So far the vac’s main functions have been working really well – strong vacuum, excellent filtering as far as I can tell, very sturdy, and reasonably quiet (with the supplied muffler). The provided attachments work for every task I’ve had so far.One area they could improve is the tool attachment and storage. The primary hose connects to the vac unit with a latching clip (& works well), but all of the other pieces use a friction fit that requires frequent tightening. The on-board tool storage bag is undersized and clumsy (but better than nothing). The vac was delivered with the secondary filter bag (covering the main HEPA filter) installed slightly off its mount and clamped on the HEPA filter media – which the directions warn against. So I’d recommend confirming that the HEPA filter and secondary filter bag are properly seated before use.

HEPA vacuum cleaner with strong suction, large capacity, and easy to move around. This product is more capable than other canister vacuums at double the price.

The vaccum does work but a bit short on suction power. Small pieces of wood or similar get stuck in the nozzle and require a push to continue on thru. Overall the HEPA process appears to work as the exhaust is fairly clear, etc. If I had to choose over I would have spent another $100 for one with more power.

This is a great product…The bag for the extras… well it holds one – maybe two items – this is truely a joke, and needs a redesign. The hose is great quality and very strudy – however the connector from attachment to hose is reduced internally – means it gets smaller on the inside at the joint – makes and excellent spot for clogs – really a poor designBesides the hose and the attachments bag – this si a fantastic machine.

I used the HEPA filter in a new shop-vac with very good results. However the bag partially worked itself off the intake tube and very fine drywall dust made its way into the cannister. The dust that was captured helped putting it back into the air. I also had a exit filter on the exhaust tube that also helped and would recommend it if it was available for your shop-vac.
