I am a happy customer of Milwaukee Tools. The extreme wood/metal cutting blade is just what I need for removing the odd placed nail or screw. I tested the blade cutting finish nails in my neighbors baseboards and 1/4 round. Although it is faster to snip them off, the blade cut at the board with no stubs!. I also used the blade on my Ryobi to cut through PVC pipes attached to old pool equipment I was removing from our condo building.

I have a DeWalt oscillating tool that has a quick blade change feature (blades are held in with a spring clamp instead of screwed down through the center). That requires a blade with semi-circle opening AND a universal hole pattern. Those are getting easier to find, but still not common enough that I can just grab any blade off the shelf. This Milwaukee blade has the semi-circle opening and fit through the spring clamp with no issues, but the universal hole pattern is juuuuuust slightly off. If you really wiggle and work at it you can get the blade to seat into the tool, but I have other blades that are much easier to insert and fit without any extra effort. If you can get the blade seated correctly, the cut is nice and clean, and the bend in the blade makes it line up PERFECTLY flat with my tool head. That really lets you get into some tight spots. I had a door frame to trim flush with the floor and this blade was able to ride right on the floor surface to make a perfect cut. I haven’t used it enough to speak to the longevity of the blade, but it doesn’t appear to be wearing down as fast as some of my others. For function I give it an A, for fit I give it a C… I’ll average it out to a B. Decent blade and will probably fit most tools, but the universal pattern could have used just a little more work.

I use my oscillating tool often so I tend to go through many blades in a months time. I have been trying several different brands to see which lasts longest. I have had good results with the Milwaukee blades in the past and this carbide bit is pretty durable. I have used it to cut nails, copper flashing and gutter and have had good results with the blade staying sharp.

When I reach for these blades, I’m already having problems. Usually I end up hitting a nail, or metal reinforcement only after I’m half way into the cut. I am tired of destroying blades by powering through. Not to mention what it does to the tool. I tried a pack of these blades for when I am working with rougher material. So far they have worked great at everything I’ve tried. Blades have come a long way and these are well made and are holding of very well.

The blades cut good.
