Instructions were clear and easy to follow. It is easy to use in some applications but requires some ingenuity to set up in others. Once set up it works easily and effectively.

Pocket hole jig is good for assembling two pieces of wood together.

While this is not a bad product, I would definitely buy the next size up on this jig if using it on a big project. I was building shelves in my garage and ended up borrowing the neighbors intermediate jig to get my project done.

It was adequate for the application I was using it for. The jig tended to move even when clamped

I had been thinking about getting a jig like this for a couple of years, but the larger version was too expensive for my infrequent woodworking projects. I was excited to try this version of the Kreg with a box of pocket hole screws. This made my projects so much easier! I love that it made it possible to hide most of the hardware on my most recent projects: shelves for the laundry room and a doll bunk bed for my daughters’ closet.

I would recommend either buying a cheap C-clamp or the Kreg clamp for max use.

Perfect tool for the beginner

Good little jig if you don’t want to pay $100+ for the nicer models. It takes a little bit longer to use than the nicer models, but the trade off is the lower price. Worked great for me since I don’t use it all the time. Used it to build a couple bed frames. The jig and bits are quality and seem like they will last.

Great tool. I Should have purchased a wider version for easier clamping. However, it did the job and I enjoyed using it.

Could I have drilled pocket holes without this $20 thing? Sure. But this is dead simple, repeatable, and comes with all the parts and pieces ready to go.Note that the extra-long driver provided is square drive, so whatever screws you use need to accept square drive. Kreg will (of course) be happy to sell you “special” pocket hole screws, but I found that regular square drive deck screws worked fine for my project.

The drill bit broke on my third use
