With the ASUS Republic of Gamers Strix Arion M.2 NVMe SSD Enclosure, you’ll be able to use your own M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD as an external SSD. The enclosure features a USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10 Gb/s) Type-C port. The M.2 slot supports 2230, 2242, 2260, and 2280 form factors. The NVMe PCIe SSD can be up to 2TB with M key/B+M key. The enclosure features an aluminum alloy design and a screwdriver-less installation. The thermal pads reduce operating temperatures, enabling your SSD to maintain high transfer speeds. The chassis also supports ASUS Aura Sync lighting so it can sync with your other ASUS ROG devices. An exclusive protective holder is included, as well as a USB Type-C to Type-C cable and a USB Type-C to Type-A cable.
Please note this enclosure does not support SATA-based B-key/B+M key and PCIe/ACHI-based M-key SSDs.

I bought this with the sole intention of using it as a extended drive for game files, it’s more than adequate and has wonder argb that connects right up with armory crate.

This works great. I used it to clone the ssd in my laptop to a Samsung 970 and it worked perfectly. I used the Samsung migration and no problems. I am using an ACER aspire 515-43-r19l and it worked great. Don’t know how it works with apple products.

Purchased this to store my backups. Case is solid metal with no plastic which helps with heat dissipation. It does get warm but not to the point of it being a problem. Installed Samsung 870 Pro with no problem and achieved 1.8 Gbs transfer rate using USB C 3.2 Gen 1. There is some weight to the enclosure, but I see this as a plus in terms of durability. I would definitely recommend this product for anyone looking for a well made NVMe enclosure.

Overall a good enclosure for a M2 SSD, bad thing is that it can’t fit a SSD with a heatsink already on it. The enclosure will accept the M2 w/heatsink but you can’t close the lid.

Beautifully made, with quality materials, however… 1) It gets way too hot, especially if rgb synced in Armory Crate, 2) It does not light up unless you open Armory Crate manually after every boot and visit the lighting area of the app, then it wake up

Well built M.2 NVMe SSD enclosure with awesome lighting effects and futuristic design. I am glad I bought it and am really impressed. And to top it off Asus will give a 90 day warranty extension

Works exactly as intended and looks great. I recently updated to PCIE4 and had a spare 1tb WD NVME. I was able to eliminate the 2 USB drives I usually carry with me and have extra space for anything else I may need to store on the move. The drive in the Arion is partitionable so you’ll be able to address compatibility issues with different OS. I have one as my Windows 11 installation, 1 as an NTFS and one as a FAT for compatibility. To top it all off, assembly was quick an easy. The included key (similar to a SIM card eject key) adds a little piece of mind for protection.
