Support for the V.92 networking standard ensures increased data transfer rates while the V.44 standard provides enhanced data compression. With a dedicated RS-232 serial port you can plug this modem into nearly any device that provides signaling for transmit, receive, and ground including point-of-sale devices and dumb terminals. Additional features of this 56K modem include support for DTMF tones, call progress tone detection, modem-on-hold and more. Once configured you can take advantage of downloadable firmware making it easy to keep your modem up to date.
