The XK-60 KVM Keypad from X-keys features 60 single keys, a programming button, and it is designed for KVM (Keyboard Video Mouse) switches to control multiple computers from a single work station. The free Windows based programming utility allows you to assign keystrokes, key combinations, and strings (with or without modifiers) to clearly labeled, dedicated keys. The X-keys emulates a standard USB keyboard and eliminates issues with most KVM input limitations. Backlighting for each key can be programmed to reflect blue, red, or both blue and red together. It is powered via a 9.8′ cable with a USB connector, at a 5VDC nominal voltage.

I love the idea and what it could do if all I needed was to emulate keystrokes. My application is to control a Video Switcher and it is rough at its best to get it programmed correctly. For ME, not a good by and should have gone with my gut rather than other reviews. Even 3rd party programs for this video switcher are really funky and clunky to get around just to make it work. And I am a programmer. BUT if you need to mimic multiple keystrokes in a program for video editing, playing games, and picture editing, or even adding Canned text in Word or other programs like that, Wow, it has a usefulness that I can see to be great for many people. For my needs, I missed the mark

Got it to use in DCS. Pretty easy to program, and ridiculously effective once it’s set up! Great build quality too

Only problem is that I should of bought the XK-80.

This thing just works! Right out of the box we had it set up and programmed in a few minutes. Using it to bring up video grabs in a hurry during hockey games… saves us a lot of time and means anyone can drive the system without needing to know their way around the mixing software. We’re in Australia and we received it from the US in three days. Very impressed!

I was surprised by the quality of this keyboard. I was also surprised by the ease of programming. One amazing note on my choice of this – super easy to find keys in Virtual Reality flight simulator. Exactly what I hoped for! I’m going to buy another one so both sides of my virtual cockpit are covered.

So happy. I got this product, for work to make things faster. And realized all to quickly it will work for more and different project. There is a layer functionbon it that actually gives you 120 button options over the 60 physical buttons and any combination. Even can change to a blue or red or mix both to purple. led backing to see your buttons in the dark. In theatre this is very helpful. Can’t recommend enough. More compact version of a regular keyboard. Or ETC Cherry.
