Within minutes I was able to use it. It works very well! It is necessary to have extensions on both ends as there is a slight change in the boards. This is no fault to the machine though. This planer is worth its weight in gold, and that’s saying a lot. Other than heavy, there are no draw backs to this thing. It has upped my game tremendously. Having a workshop with this baby makes a huge difference. I have had it for a couple of months and I have only one slight complaint. It is heavy, but that means that it is built with quality in mind. I also have their bandsaw and drill press. Completely satisfied.

This is a solid product and I tested it in multiple ways. The motor is powerful and the construction is dependable. My only issue with this model is that it is a 2 knife model instead of common standard three and the depth gauge is not always calibrated. It is more than a home owner grade but fall shy for fine finish carpentry.
