I really like this sander. It is small and compact, yet very versatile. It was easy to set up. The vacuum ports, fitted to my shop vac, do a great job of clearing the sanding dust. The motor is plenty powerful for most of the sanding jobs I do. Also, it’s easy to change belts.

Works very well. Looks identical to some much higher priced sanders. I’m sure the are coming out of the same factory. After initial setup, it works great for my small projects. I bought additional belts in different grits.

I bought this Wen belt sander to replace a 4 inch belt sander that I can stall with 1 finger. After doing research on 1 inch belt sanders, I found Wen to be the best product overall for the money, and I haven’t stalled it out yet. Out of the box, all that has to be assembled are the two sanding surfaces and you are ready to go in less than 10 minutes. I have a small shop, so the smaller size is great for me in order to fit it into a small space, but it delivers big performance. The belts are easy to change in a flash and the guard on the top is perfect for keeping particles out of your face. Also, the dual vacuum ports are great and allows you to switch from the belt side to the disc side very easily. I have been using this sander constantly since purchase to sand/grind everything from making knives to sanding wood projects and it performs perfectly.

You get what you pay for; this sander isn’t a precision tool or a very powerful one either, but if you’re working on small pieces it works well. I’ve been sanding wood, plastic, aluminum, even stainless steel with good results. Sometimes you really don’t want a sander that can chew through 1″ of material in 30 seconds. The belt tracking is fine on my unit. I wouldn’t trust the table slide very much, it’s quite loose in the slot. However, it’s okay as far as rough guides go. I hammered along one edge of the rail to make it wider.

only used it a couple of times –nice small, compact, sturdy unit–perfect for small jobs like making guitar nuts and saddles–looking forward to finding many more uses for it–a little difficult to adjust tables for 90 degree angle but I finally got it—would buy again
