Designed for both indoor and outdoor use, this 5-port Gigabit Ethernet switch features a total power budget of 46W when a compatible PoE-compliant switch or adapter is connected to its 60W 802.3bt PoE++ port. Its four auto-sensing ports deliver 802.3af PoE output to connected devices such as network security cameras. The UniFi Switch Flex also features a host of flexible mounting options, including on the wall or ceiling, on a pole, or using its magnetic backing to securely attach to a steel surface. Administrators may monitor and manage the switch using the UniFi Network Controller application.

Great option for adding multiple POE devices to your Ubiquiti network. Price is very reasonable.

I used this little switch to extend ethernet and POE to a separate location where I could not add another cable. I also wanted to eliminate a couple of POE injectors and instead power back from my main network switch. Works great for me. I used Ubiquity Pro Switch 24 sourcing power over Ethernet which provides IEE 802.3bt PoE++ to the Flex RJ45 input switch. The switch immediately powered up, and began distributing power itself to the output ports which are IEE 802.3at PoE+ RJ45. I use it to power a Ubiquity WIFI access point as well as a Hikvision security camera. Be sure to check that the power specs match the devices you are wanting to power as all POE is not created equal. Included components to mount to a pole, or to place on a shelf. RJ45 connectors had a splash shield if used to mount outside. Case is pure silky white and fits in the palm of my hand. Pretty amazing for all the features it includes. The only downside I have its connecting and disconnecting RJ45 connectors is more difficult than normal due to the splash shield, but for me, this is a 1 time activity. Nice feature if outdoors

These are really handy little edge switches. They are outdoor rated, PoE powered, PoE switches. When powered with PoE++ (60W), they can provide AT power to four ports, though with a max total PoE budget of 46W. I have a PoE core switch that has 8 PoE++ ports, so I can power these right off the core switch.

I like the products from UniFi very much. This little switch, however, is a gem. I don’t think other brands offer such small switches powered by POE, that can actually pass on POE and are managed. Set up is extremely easy and it’s basically set up, and forget.

Switch function and construction is great. I’m able to split my PoE to multiple devices now with this switch without needed additional power adapter, I have compatible PoE supply to begin with

After really being excited about this product after attempting to install it became a nightmare, update to the firmware the device would not adopt to the network. After researching on UBNT support they wanted you to do all kinds of ssh scripting and updates to get it to work, no thanks it’s going back and I got a non UniFi replacement product that works great.
