Flight simulator games can be daunting at first, but the T.Flight Stick X Joystick allows gamers to get right into the action with Plug & Play capabilities as well as being preconfigured for Microsoft Flight Simulator X. It is also preconfigured for three Sony Playstation 3 games, which are Ubisoft’s Blazing Angels, Tom Clancy’s HawX and IL-2 Sturmovik’s Birds of Prey.
The T.Flight Stick X Joystick is not just easy to use, but it also brings a sense of realism. It has a weighted base to keep the joystick stable even when carrying out sharp turns and quick maneuvers. A large hand rest makes it comfortable to use. A rapid-fire trigger optimizes performance while a rudder efficient makes flat turns. The ergonomic throttle lever controls fuel flow while the multi-directional hat-switch makes it easy to change views or menus. I use this with a flight simulator. Its very responsive although I think the throttle control is a little off.

I am not a serious gamer, but the next best thing to actual flying is a flight simulator or an air combat game. And no one flies using a computer keyboard! After much thinking and review research, I took a huge chance. Other retailers wanted sky high prices, but not giving up, over several days, B&H Video, of all places in New York City, which is a world away from Spokane, Washington, had the Thrustmaster at a very reasonable price. And without asking, did not charge me shipping. What company does that today! Oh, by the way, out of the box, into a USB port, nothing else to do but enjoy the game!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will definitely purchase from B&H again. I’m looking for that special pair of binoculars!

Pretty good for FSX or any other flight sim. I would definitely recommend it for the beginners and even advanced players.

I’ve owned several joysticks over the years. A Microsoft Sidewinder, then a Logitech Attack 3, a Saitek X52, then this. This is by far the most comfortable to use and best feeling joystick that I’ve had. Far more precise and better feeling than the X52 which is now sitting on a shelf. Of course the X52 had more buttons and the separate throttle, but I could never get used to the way it felt and unless you play something like DCS, you may never even use all of those buttons. The Saitek was probably better in terms of quality control, however. On this Thrustmaster there is a triangular piece of plastic on the front of the joystick (against the palm) that squeaks if you grip with any force. Much worse than the squeakiness is the poor soldering job done on the throttle wires. There are three wires connected to the throttle slider and they move with it. With enough movement, the thin soldering will snap and the throttle will become unusable. I decided to fix them myself rather than send it in for repairs or a replacement. If you are unwilling or unable to fix a potential issue like this, I would look for a different joystick. Despite the issues I had, I would say I am happy with this stick simply based on its price and performance.

I have used my joystick for about one month, was pleased with the ease of setup. Found it easy to use and with more precision than other models I have had. Control is more precise making it easy to accomplish tasks. Controls on the stick are setup will and easy to use. Unit is heavy enough to stay in one place during use.

Needed a replacement for my old worn out Top Gun Pro. Tried a competitor’s inexpensive stick but the return spring was way too stiff and nonadjustable. Bought the T.Flight and haven’t looked back. I love this stick!

The Thrustmaster joystick is a very precise unit. Responds very well to even the smallest input. My only negative comment is that because of my hand being very large I tend to activate the trim switch thats at the top of the handle, just above my index finger. Not a fault of the unit!! I use it for Flight Sim X and love it.
