Extremely pleased with this purchase. Easy to adjust and cut a straight line with. I just finished a job remodeling a rotted screened porch wall and the saw was a workhorse.

Powerful, accurate, made of quality materials with attention to detail. The adjustment levers are quick to release and hold the selected blade position securely. The cut depth gage is useful and accurate, and so is the angle gage. The saw is heavy, most users will need both hands for accurate cuts across dimensional lumber. The weight makes the saw far less portable, though the included joist hook helps keep the saw within reach. Recommended for framing and construction. Not recommended for furniture carpentry or hobby work. Buyer be aware the saw needs regular maintenance, but if kept up the saw should last long enough to be passed on to your grand kids and still plow through the most dense lumber.

To start, I would like to say that I am far from a professional like most people on here. I would definitely consider myself a beginner and DIY-er who may never push this pro-grade saw to its full limits. With that being said, this saw served as an upgrade for my old Skil 5080 which was extremely difficult to handle due to its plastic construction. Wanting something more beefy that wouldn’t have any messing around in the middle of cuts, I bought the sidewinder on a whim at my local home depot. Within its first use, this saw definitely proved its worth. Saying it cuts effortlessly would be a redundancy as many reviews have already pointed to its power. However, something less mentioned is just how easy this thing is to control. Unlike my previous saw, there was no flexing, vagueness in the chassis of the saw; once it’s lined up, it is dedicated to cut a straight line and nothing but. Rip cuts, cross cuts, bevel cuts, you name it. Another great feature is the 0 and 45 marks are indicated in the front *and* the back of the saw, making the end of the cut just as precise as the beginning. Table angles and height adjustments are clearly marked and operate smoothly. The saw feels great in your hand and inspires a whole new level of confidence every time you make a cut. Trigger feels solid and the all-magnesium construction is just as much style as it is functional. And while included blades typically are subpar, the 24 tooth Diablo blade makes easy work of pretty much everything you throw at it. If you’re looking for a right blade circular saw that has performance, precision and inspires confidence with every cut, go ahead and scoop one up. You won’t regret it. The stand shown in the picture was not included but was made with the SkilSaw.

The best circular saw I have ever used. Ultra powerful and still lightweight and well balanced I am very happy with this saw and I highly recommend it. Seemed well built and durable from my first impression. The saw and Diablo blade combo blew through some heavy wet pressure treated 2×6 lumber like it was 1x pine.

Wonderful circular saw. The all metal housing is great. Withstands a full story drop without warping the blade or plate too bad. (One of my guys tested that in the field for me) Wish it came with the bolt for the rip guide slot on the plate. Anyone know how to find one that fits this specific saw? this thing helped out tremendously cutting stair stringers vs the makita my boss uses regardless of how new or good the blade is. Pulling back the guard won’t wear out your wrist all day either. favorite to have around while framing.

Great weight – easy to handle and cuts true and straight with ease. I was using mine to true up some 6’ lengths of 2” think red oak – worked like a charm.

Man This is one sweet unit. The diablo blade cuts right through a 2×4 with ease. it’s not to heavy and so far does what it’s supposed to do.
