The Skil 20V Brushless multitool is light weight and easy to carry around. Compared to another major brand I own, it’s lighter and the head flexes a little which allows you to angle the bit a little to get into those weird hard to hit angles that I couldn’t get with the other brand. The battery also holds awhile – I was able to trim a bunch of laminate flooring and trim the bottom of 6 door frames off one battery. All in all this multitool provides value and is well worth the investment. Performance-wise, it holds up well.

First time using this tool. Most impressed with this tool of all skil tools. This tool has far less vibration than my other multi tools. the design is slick and innovated. My only complaint would be the quick release. I don’t like the twist top. The tool is great with a long lasting battery. I’m a fan

The SKIL PWRCore 20™ Multi Tool is a very handy tool that I have been wanting for some time. One of the things I wanted to use it for was to cut the bottom portion of the exterior door trim that needed replacing. With this tool, I can easily remove a portion of the trim without having to remove all of it since it was only the bottom 3 inches that needed replacing. This tool can cut trim in places that a hand saw just can’t work in. This Multi-Tool comes with six accessories, a bi-metal plunge cut blade, a wood plunge cut blade, a flush circular blade, ridged scraper blade, carbide grout removal blade and a sanding pad with assorted sandpaper sheets. Changing an accessory is pretty easy, just follow the easy to remember instructions in the manual. Some of the features I really like is the 2 built-in lights that shine on your work piece. This Skil Multi-Tool slowly turns on, meaning it starts at a slower rpm and ramps up to the desired speed which makes it a lot easier to begin cutting, scraping, or sanding without the abruptness of switching on at full speed. The variable speed setting is separate from the on/off switch which I like. The included battery has a USB port so when you’re not using the Multi-Tool, you can take the battery with you to charge any USB device which is very handy for me. This Skil Multi-Tool has a 3-year warranty and can be extended to 5 years when you register the tool which makes it well worth the time to do so. The battery and charger have a 2-year warranty which is O.K. Overall, I’m finding this Skil Multi-Tool is much more useful than I first thought. I have an iron fence that needs repainting and doing the prep work of rust and peeling paint removal was not something I wanted to do anytime soon. Having tried the sanding accessory on a small section of the iron fence has really changed my view on how much work it’s going to take this time to do it, as I can now sand in tight spaces anywhere on that fence and the sandpaper is easy to change out with its Velcro backing. I’m looking forward to finishing that project with this Skil Multi-Tool when the weather is right. I highly recommend this tool whether its to get in tight spaces for sanding, or cutting and I can image it working well for grout removal also.

The Ridgid multitool I was using before this would vibrate so much that it would cause my hands to itch – but that no longer happens with this one. It’s easy to switch the tools – the light in front is great and the ability to charge my phone from the battery is a huge bonus.

Lots of power with LITTLE vibration! Super easy to use and replace the blades. Couldn’t be happier. Much easier to use than other brands of multi tools due to lack of vibration. Battery charges fasts and lasts a long time. I did punch my finger on the turn key designed to open for blade attachment replacement and felt like it loosened at times so might consider a redesign with that but was never worried it unhinge the attachment.

I’m working on some tile work in a bathroom expansion and used this tool to replace one I have from a different brand (still 20V) that I wasn’t a huge fan of. Not only did I like the weight balance of this tool as I’m constantly using it right side up, upside down, left handed etc. but the vibration reduction system was MASSIVELY noticeable. I used it a lot to cut a niche into a new shower and was able to do so through Denshield tile backer like butter. I tried out the grout scraper as well with some excess from tiles and I noticed a few things there too:- The head has a little bit of good flex to it, which allows odd or oblique angles.- The tool change out didn’t require huge amounts of hand strength (a problem with my other one)- Although the 2.0Ah battery only lasted for about an hour of runtime, it charged quickly and let’s get real…oscillating tools eat battery life. My old tool average tool runtime was about 45 minutes, but it also vibrated enough to rattle your brain. I’d definitely recommend as it’s got the power, good ergonomics and nice weight balance for odd motions. I also tossed it around on the tile project and was not concerned with the frame build. Love it!

I love this saw. If you are a handy person who does projects around the house or for a business and you have never used an oscillating saw then you seriously don’t know what you are missing. This skil saw comes with a nice soft case, lots of triangular sanding pads, and several wood, plastic, metal blades as well as a shaving blade. The charger is awesome. Charged the included battery fully in 6 minutes. The battery has a usb plug on it as well for charging but does not include the usb cable. Lots of power, 6 sped settings via a dial, and easy to use lever for adding the blades to the magnetic interface, and a very nice led light at the front. I have used it to saw very delicate 1/8th inch squares out of rosettes for my trim where the walls were not square it worked beautifully. Used it just yesterday to cut off a 22 year old tub spout that was stuck on (metal) worked great and saved me. A bit loud but that’s the only negative. These are such useful tools. Wonderful.

I have an older Porter Cable multi-tool, plug in model. I much prefer battery tools like everybody else, so I decided to add one to my collection. Looked at a couple of the home center brands and decided on the Skil and am happy with my choice. It made quick work of the island table redo project the wife has me on. The light is very bright and is a great feature, my older eyes can use all the light they can get! Great blade adjustability, And the locking mechanism is well designed. Great to see Skil in the game with a quality tool!

The Multi tool is an excellent choice for many projects. I consider it a Fine finish tool combined with close quarters saw. I used It for some repair some laminated wood flooring. It was nice for doing the final cuts on edges and corners where floor needed to come up against a corner or along a wall and at a floor transition. My go-to-choice for this tool for use in electrical plug installation around “Old Work”. The multi-tool was easier to control than hand sawing with hacksaw blade or using a sheetrock knife to create or enlarge holes in sheetrock for electrical boxes. My sheetrock was double covered in the area I needed to put an outlet. Using the flat blade, you just firmly push and cuts cleanly into the sheetrock. Then, angle the tool parallel and cut long the lines. Finish by pushing straight in. Very clean look. Tool also allows better depth control so you do not nick wires behind the sheetrock. I also used it to create notches in studs for door brackets. I cut both ends; roughly chiseled out the center; and used the tool to clean up groove. Looked nice. I decided to test the battery life with pieces of Flooring and another with ½ in plywood. During the testing process I learned the characteristics of the saw blades. Notice the picture of the two blades in front of the tool. The grey areas are the depths that can be cut with the tool. The rectangular bit will cut perpendicularly down up to 1.5 inch before it bottoms out. Cutting parallel to the board causes the bit to bottom out at about 1”. The “circular” blade cuts to a depth of 5/8” at all angles. If the cut angle allowed the “thicker” section of the blade to ride on the work surface, a straight line was harder to maintain and the rectangular cut time could triple. My test boards (1/8 fiber board, 3/8” laminate flooring, and 1/2″ Siding) seemed to cut at the same rate of 14” per minute. There seems to be a cutting edge on the sides of the rectangular bit, but it did not cut well as the vibration is perpendicular to the cut surface. Careful, the blade does heat up. I used a #3 setting on the speed control. Battery Life test results were 30 minutes to half charge indication. I would expect to see about 1 hour of actual cutting per charge. The rapid charge brought the battery back up to full in less than15 minutes from the halfway point. If you had two batteries, you could work all day.

Was able to use this tool for the first time today. Could not get over how fast the battery charged. Also substantially less vibration than my old multi-tool. I had carpal tunnel surgery a year ago, when I got done working today my hands didn’t hurt, that would not have been true with my old multi-tool.

I want to say that I am very impressed with this oscillating tool. The whole idea of reducing vibration and being brushless/cordless was the very reason why I wanted to try this out and it truly delivered. I have used the Dewalt and I wasn’t happy with the vibration especially over long period of time and even owned Ridgid jobmax at one point for its multiple head attachments. I have been looking for other brands even outside of Milwaukee, which it’s my main platform and eventually I came across Skil, a brand I heard of but not very familiar with till the very day they were bought by Chervon and announced their new line of cordless tools. The first tool that caught my attention was their 12v brushless oscillating tool, which I currently own as well. It’s a much better tool than Dewalt, but there is still room for improvement. Its 20V cousin is really something I have never experienced before with their VRS technology and I hope Skil continues to improve on it from here on out. If I had unlimited battery, I can basically cut all day with this tool without being bothered by its vibration or lack there of. I have control over the piece I am cutting and it really CUTS LIKE BUTTER. Do yourself a favor and give this tool a go and Skil, don’t slack off and continue to release this tool. Only time will tell if this is going to last long.

I have had multi tools in the past, but this model is far superior to any I’ve ever owned! There is almost 0 vibration while using the tool, I could use it for long periods of time in odd angles without feeling arm fatigue. I also love the fact that you don’t need another tool like a Allen wrench to change bits. It’s a simple twist off pin that you use with your hand, couldn’t be simpler. I love this tool!!

Pretty much as good as my more expensive Dewalt, which vibrates a lot. I was skeptical about a Skil battery operated tool, but so far so good. I’m rough on tools. I appreciate Home Depot having such a large selection, but sometimes there are too many brands to choose from. I guess it’s better than a limited amount of brands and tools to choose from, though!
