I just started using the SKIL drill that comes with a power core 20 lithium battery and it is a great all purpose drill. However sometimes you need extra battery life for longer jobs and this extra 20v 4.0AH lithium battery is an awesome add-on so you can switch out batteries when needed. it doesn’t feel overly heavy or clunky and allows me to hold it in a position for longer periods of time without hand fatigue. It works with the SKIL charger and has a power level indicator on the battery so you can easily tell when its time to switch out/recharge.Overall a great boost in battery life without having to change out frequently.

I have the 2ah and the 5ah batteries as well. The 2ah battery weighs in at a paltry 1 lb. 1.3 oz. If you just need a “small jobs” battery then this is your battery. The 4ah middle weight weighs in at 1 lb. 9.1 oz., compared to 4ah, 1 lb. 9.7 oz. for the 5ah battery. There’s a $10 difference in price, so everything scales nicely. I like the 4ah because the weight does not bother me and the charge holds up for several hours. I save some money and never run out of power, so this is the best battery for me.

I recently got a SKIL reciprocating saw and it came with a BY519601 4.0Ah battery. What I like about it is that it’s about the same size and weight of my old battery. But this new one has 25% more capacity. I’ve used it some since the initial charge but haven’t run out of power yet. looking forward to using it on the construction site. To think of a 4.0Ah battery will mean a long time between charges. That’s nice.

Awesome battery Long lasting and plenty of power .. The 20v Skil tools run better with this battery..Charges quickly too 45 minutes or so.

Longer runtime! This PWRCORE 20 battery is rated at 4 Ah or 80 watts. This will give approximately twice the runtime when compared to the smaller 2 AH battery. It will give you more power to run other Skil tools like a saw. The thing I like most about the battery is the single release button. I found it is easier to release the battery from the tool. It allows the battery to be release using 1 finger versus 2 fingers for batteries from other cordless power tool makers. The battery quickly charged from 1 bar to 4 bars in 44 minutes. I was using Skil’s faster charger. The fuel gage is also a nice feature, however I found it unnecessarily difficult to use. The actual button was recessed too far below. This made it necessary to push down very hard to get an indication on the fuel gage. You can see in the photo where I deformed the plastic over the button trying to make it work.

I have had this battery powered sawzall for a week now and i have to say i am extremely impressed with the power and stamina this battery has! I have had no problem poweing through cutting steel wood nails, anything i have thrown at it! It chsrges fast and has a power level indicator on the battery to help monitor its life before needing charged. The battery is just as strong with only one bar as ot is with four. And one chathe lasts my sawzall all day long. Very impressed!

I bought this battery as a backup for my Skil Multi-tool and for my Skil Reciprocating saw. I never like having battery operated tools and only one battery. Once you get into a project a dead battery is a killer. One in the tool and one on the charger. This battery also came with a USB snap on cover which allows two phones or othere devices to be charged when necessary.

I have been happy with my skil tools. They all seem to work just fine. This 4.0 AH battery works as good as all other batteries. I’ve been using it in my impact gun. I’ve been using off and on throughout the day and it has been holding up quite well. So for drills they probably last longer I have a circular saw that I’m sure would use it up a little quicker. It also has an indicator light to check the level of the battery. I have been very happy with my skil tools so far.

I wanted this battery to give me an additional amount of working time on my SKIL 4-1/2″ angle grinder. It came with a 2.0 AH battery and has a good working time between charges for small jobs such as sharpening mower blades and tools. But for bigger jobs such as grinding rough concrete and such, I needed more capacity. Based on the life of the 2.0, I suspect that this 4.0 will give me close to an hour of work before recharging. That is as much as I usually need. I appreciate the battery strength indicators on the battery. You can use them to plan your work ahead of time and not run our of charge unexpectedly.
