I am tiling a bathroom floor and needed to drill a hole for a plumbing pipe. I already have a tile hole saw but you need to adhere a template to keep the saw from moving around and I was out of the template so I grab this because you didn’t need a template.. I marked then clamped the tile to my bench. I used painters tape to reduce any chipping. The key to using this is to start at a 45 degree angle and slowly start cutting. As you cut through tilt the bit so it eventually is 90 degrees to the tile.. Once I had a circle I removed the tape and then with a spray bottle, sprayed the bit and the tile. The cut was quick and clean and the few chips around the edges will be covered with bell flange.

This thing comes really well packaged! I would highly recommend this for anyone who needs to drill a hole in tile as an example for a shower arm in the bathroom or the hole for the arm extending out for the tub spout. It probably isn’t big enough for a shower valve hole, but it is good for the others. It works fine, but like with any diamond hole saw bit you need to keep the blade wet, go slow, and take your time to avoid any issues.

Now I have a hole saw the first of many and this will definitely come in handy around here,I do like the RIDGID brand, I have a circular saw from RIDGID.My neighbor was asking if i had a hole saw the other day for cutting into his granite countertop and i did not have one but now i do.So just maybe he can borrow mine or go get one at Home Depot because they carry them and that makes me a happy customer. To all my friends please check out these hole saws from RIGID.
