Slickrock Metallic Pearl 260 (44″x50′ Roll) from Moab is a 260 g/m2 paper with a metallic finish. The paper’s high gloss and metallic finish provide a unique lifelike, almost 3D quality to any image. The paper is suited for both black and white as well as color prints. The paper is recommended for use with pigment-based ink but can also be used with dye-based ink.

There is a wonderful tonal range with no funny silvering mentioned with other matallic papers. Most of all I love the almost 3 D effect it gives when shone under illumination. This for me is it’s edge and why I will buy again

I use Slickrock Metallic Pearl 260 by Moab to print my landscape photographs. I can not believe the quality of the print. It is amazing. The details just pop out at me when I look at them. The paper works great in my Epson R1900 printer.

I like all Moab papers and this one is great as well- My personal taste for glossy papers is I don’t like when you look at the print from an angle and the print looks muddy in the darks and whites- which happens with this paper.

I’ve taken a series of toy camera photographs with my Diana F+ of an abandoned amusement park and in my mind it required a paper that would best show-off not only the decay of the park but also the quirkiness gained from such a simple piece of equipment. With the paper’s beautiful, pearl and metallic sheen, and it’s true-ness to the odd colorations, the images pop right off the page. I brought them to an informal throw-down at a local photography gallery, and my fellow photographers were as excited about the paper as they were the images. I can’t find fault with the paper–the mill’s profile was spot-on, so I was able to print without the drudgery of adjusting and readjusting settings to make the stock work with my printer and computer. So of course, I’m now intrigued and am ordering sample packages of Moab’s other paper.

I was looking for a 11×14 option for paper and this seemed to be the best option. The only challenge that I had was figuring out what paper type matched up with my printer. Once out found that out I was good to go. My printer is an Epson P-900 and this is what I found… Slickrock Pearl uses Premium Photo Paper Semigloss Slickrock Silver uses Premium Photo Paper Glossy

I like this paper because it’s not as sensitive as the Moab Slickrock Metallic Silver Paper to environmental conditions. It’s also not as sensitive to viewing angles/lighting as the Silver. But the Silver still has a special sheen that make images outworldly.

Any moisture from touching or even breathing heavily on this paper destroys the print…paper turns white…beautiful prints but they would have to be immediately sealed in some way from moisture in air or from people handling it. Cannot be sealed with any liquid sealant as you can with regular photo paper…that turns it white. I dont think anyone but professional print shops who can seal it instantly after printing would be able to produce a lasting print.

I have to be the first to admit, this is not my go to paper for every day printing and use, however, I do enjoy printing photos on this stuff, when they’re right. Mostly HDR images, highly compressed where everything is kind of a mid-tone and lots of apparent light in the scene. It’s for that type of photo that this paper seems to emanate light from within – almost like looking into a monitor. If you’re looking for something a bit different, in a paper, this might be the thing that you’re looking for. It can be used to good effect.

I love this paper. I don’t generally print in metallic, but there are certain images that just make sense. This is the best metallic paper I’ve found so far. The shine is beautiful and it keeps the colors very well. B&W images are stunning.

I love this paper – which I sometimes use for a slightly non-realistic sheen in certain fine art landscapes. It cannot be thought of as a white paper. It is metallic and therefore generates a very slight grey. If that effect comes from a conscious choice, it can be enhancing, adding a gorgeous pop to an image. However, if not, the results can seem unexpected, weird, or just wrong!

I have been shooting a lot of photos of moving water, ice, snow, etc. recently and this paper really makes sparkly subjects pop in a gratifying way that you don’t get even with glossy paper. The downside is that from some angles and in some lighting you get a metallic sheen, especially noticeable with dark colors. When used with discretion it is a nice addition to the printer’s arsenal.

I used this paper for my current exhibit of B & W 13×19 prints. It is very well suited due to its sheen. Although not for pigment inks, it is a worthwhile product for reasonable longevity and its appearance can be striking depending on subject matter. Highly recommended to at least try!!

There are 2 Moab ‘metallics’, this being the less silver (the other looks very silver). I didn’t really want paper this silver and probably got it confused with the Inkpress metallic which appears more like regular paper. This will limit the number of photos I will use it for but don’t get the idea there is anything wrong with the paper – there isn’t.
