Got this saw kinda spur of the moment for a project after my 10 year old DW hypoid finally gave up. After using this saw a few time some disappointing intracieces came to my attention. First off, the base plate is composite, basically plastic, which I’m kinda okay with, but it won’t lend itself to harsh use. Two main gripes….1: I cannot set this saw to zero. There is a rib protruding from the back side of the base plate, towards the motor. This rib hits the motor before it gets to zero regardless of how much you adjust your stop screw so you can never zero it out unless you grind off a portion of that rib. 2: It is not accurate when using your speed square as a fence when cross-cutting lumber. The base plate has a slight outward taper to it, as does the saw guide mount. The saw guide mount is elevated so when it hits the raised end of your square it kicks the saw out so you’ll never have a perfectly straight cut with a speed square. Also the degree indicator is a little hard to read. Basically if they shortened the rib, made the base edges 90* with no taper, and had a metal base plate it would be great. But for the reasons above I cannot recommend it.

Sturdy yet fairly light circular saw—Milwaukee still showing some quality in their products.

Wonderful. I won’t need to own another circular saw

Cuts without bogging down. Heavy enough to be stable but light enough to use for hours without being burden on the arms.Only thing they missed here is a storage case. Milwaukee does one with everything else so I’m not sure why the skimped here.

i am the son of a contractor and independent handyman. i have been around and used circular saws for around 30 years. This is the quietest most powerful and sturdy saw I have ever used. the first day I got it i put a brand new blade on it and ripped a 2X4. It went the full length of the board on track matching the guide. It seemed as if it was pulling me down the board. It didn’t bog down at all. Didn’t trip my breaker. it just powered right through. I like mine so much i bought my dad one too. He has been contracting for 50 years. He loves it. he doesn’t do nearly as much as you used too but he truly loves a good quality tool to mess around with in his shop. We love them. I have had mine for a bout 6 months. he has had is about a month. Thanks for the quality tool..

I LIKE THAT THE BLADE IS ON THE LEFT HAND SIDE OF THE SAW. MAKE’S IT EASY FOR A RIGHT HANDED PERSON TO SEE WHERE THE BLADE IS CUTTING THE WOOD. I LIKE THAT IT HAS A BLADE BREAK AND RUN’S QUITER THAN A REGULAR SAW.

Ok I gave this 5 stars because of the powerful motor on it. It’s a heavy beast, that’s its only downfall. It cut great, I liked the 45 stop button, the depth adjustment is very easy. I just used it to build an entire deck, and the wood was very wet. It cut like a hot knife through butter. And on another note my Milwaukee impact drive out preformed the dewalt on battery life. I used one battery for the whole job where the dewalt need 2 batteries. Milwaukee makes a great tool.

This saw is a champ. Took it out of the box took the blade off and replaced it with a prozi beam cutter. It is a 14” chainsaw attachment that is used for timber framing. So far it has over 300 cuts in 8”x8” material no issues and hardly ever bogs down, lots of power

I love the quality and craftsmanship of the Milwaukee brand. There is a lot of thought that goes into all the little things you would use on this type of saw. Most all of my tools are Milwaukee.
