This Milwaukee 8 in. Metal Cutting Circular Saw delivers faster, cooler, cleaner metal cutting. Forget the showers of hot metal chips and sparks that were once an aerial threat on the job. Great saw. First project was cutting some 1/4 plate into strips. Cut through like butter with a excellent cut finish with barely any need to clean up the edges. Clean up is pretty easy because it’s in large chips rather then dust getting everywhere.

I am an artist working in welded and shaped metal. I use recycled materials whenever possible to try and use the original shape to fit into my artwork. Being able to saw cut a part to my desired size leaving a weldable edge beats heck out of flame cutting and having to grind to fit. I absolutely love this saw and its 18 volt junior brother.

It is unbelievable how easy, fast and clean it cuts steal. I cut a number of pieces of duraplate (which disintegrates 4.5” cut off blades) and a 10” wide piece of 3/8” steel plate. There is no kickback and very little debris as it catches most. Cut almost as easy as lumber with a circular saw

i bought it to cut 16 gauge sheet metal, that i formerly cut with an angle and cutoff wheel, that took forever.next i used a plasma cutter,but it warped my metal.so i saw on youtube a guy using this saw so i bought it and it cuts the 16 gauge like butter. it’s made job much easier and faster.you lose 1/8″because of the blade thickness.
