Very effective for medium work with a 4-1/2″ angle grinder. Very good wear and use-life quality. Not as aggressive as the rope-twist wires, but is effective for stripping paint, rust and most old powder coat. I used this for a 20+ HP garden tractor restore stripping to bare metal. Lots of rust, some of it deep, so 2 were required for the job. About 25% of the second was needed. I do recommend using chaps, gauntlets (canvas or leather) and full face shield for aggressive use, as the wires will break off and will penetrate skin and jeans.

Quality crimped wire wheel although it does not get into confined spaces as well as advertised. This is mainly good for flat surfaces. The wires do spread out a little as you use it but its best for flat. It strips paint well but does not get down to bare metal as easily as a quick strip disc does. I used it to strip paint off my wrought iron hand rails and it has good durability but struggled in tight spot such as around the spindles. You will get about 1.5 to 2 straight hours of stripping out of this wheel. It fits a 5/8″ arbor and can be tightened with pliers. This wire wheel is made in the USA.

Have been cleaning sheet metal on a old Ford tractor. Bought some others for a cheap price and that’s what I got. On a angle grinder more wires ended up stuck on me than I have ever experienced. Bought a couple of these and what a difference. Work great and I don’t spend time picking the wires out .
