I really like these Milwaukee 5/32″ hammer drill bits. They are made from hard steel. Nice and long. In this series the hexagonal shanks are all the same size. They shaft locks into the chuck really well. No slipping. Sometimes bits this small are a bit fragile and will break pretty easily. I saw no evidence that this one would have that issue. It zipped right through a hard fired brick with just normal pressure. I will buy Shockwave when and if I wear these out.

This is my review of the Milwaukee 1/4 inch shockwave carbide hammer drill bits 48-20-9162 designed for use in impact and hammer drills. I just had the opportunity to try these bits while replacing some drain lines that had to be secured to concrete columns. I used the bits in a cordless hammer drill and they did the job. Drilling was fast and effortless, The bits did not walk when starting a hole. After installing over 25 straps (50) holes I was still using the same bit. I would recommend these. If I need other size bits for concrete I will buy this brand.

This 5 pack hard carbide drill bits from Milwaukee, in sizes of 5/32″, 3/16″, 1/4″. 5/16″ and 3/8″ is the perfect combination concrete carbide drill bits for all concrete / masonry use, including granite. The hardened steel bit is sharpened for easy starting into hard masonry use. Drills easily into brick, block and tested on harder granite material, where these bits didn’t wobble, and easily drilled a clean hole. The 1/4″ shank is a added convenient feature making this product easy to use.

Used them on a brick exterior wall. They start working really great but wear down after 10-12 holes. Having the 5 pack was good. I would’ve hated going back for a second or third bit.

These 3/16″ Milwaukee Hammer Drill bits are great. I really like that the shanks are hexagonal. They locked very nicely into my 3 jaw chuck. I didn’t need to murder the chuck key to get it tight enough to not spin. I had some very hard fired bricks to try them on. This little bit zipped right into the brick with no issues. The bits are long enough to go totally through a brick like this. I experienced zero flex on the shaft while drilling. These smaller bits are sometimes a little fragile when side torque is applied. Not this one. It was great. I have a new favorite hammer drill bit.

You can’t go wrong with a Milwaukee product. These bits are hex head bits that can be mounted in any chuck that that uses that head and even has a locking kerf. They are well made and fluted for quick material removal. They are carbide tipped for durability. It is a fast cutting bit. It is rated to drill several different hard materials. This model carbide hammer drill bit (48-20-9162) is six inches long.
