Chose to evaluate the Milwaukee 12″ CT Wrecker SawZall reciprocating blade #48005243 because I have several rails which need to be replaced on my paddock fence that are shorter than the standard length supplied by the mill. The other option to make the triangular end cuts was using a chain saw, but bar length of the saw made exact angle cuts difficult. The blade has 6 teeth per inch (6 TPI), comes as a single pack item. There is a noticeable difference in the mount angle as compared to other Milwaukee blades that I own (see attached photo.) This does not affect mounting or functionality of the blade. Although listed as a Milwaukee blade, it does fit almost universally on other manufacturer’s reciprocating saws. It mounted without difficult on my PC unit. The trial cuts were on Locus wood ( a very hard local wood) that was clean (free of nails, screws, or other metallic foreign bodies.) I easily made several cross grain cuts through the wood without noted burning of the blade that occurred with other wood blades. On the third pass, I noticed that a single tooth had broken off near the tip of the blade. Checked the wood for foreign bodies, but none present. The missing tooth did not inhibit the performance of the blade during the entire trial session. I am not sure why the tooth broke off, but the void had a clean base. Perhaps metal fatigue in manufacturing. (Made in USA from international materials) The final results provided a smooth cut through the wood without the expected wobbling or pinching of the blade. The finish paint did scrape off, but as stated, no burning of the blade was noted. No other teeth broke off during the trial. I would recommend this item for cutting clean wood only, and not use to cut through beams or studs containing nails, cleats, etc.

Best blade I’ve used. Had to cut through entire ceiling of plaster with metal wiring. Well worth the money spent. Most durable blade I used.

I use these blades on all sorts of demolition projects. They will hack through nails, screws, knots in the wood, just about everything. Make sure you are careful when using these as they move pretty fast through most material and will cut right through whatever they come in contact with. Don’t use a blade longer than you need so you don’t risk bending it or cutting into something you can’t see.If you are cutting pipes, or steel then you should use the blade specifically made for cutting meta.

Nice saw blade ! Works easily with my ryobi reciprocating saw . It cuts nicely. Easy to use . I used this blade and several others to compare them . The Milwaukee blade was a cleaner cutting blade . The branches were about 4 inches thick . I will be using the wrecker to cut off some more branches soon . I will definitely have to keep a couple in my tool chest.

This blade was worth the price just like most everything, you get what you pay for. I cut through a 4″ piece of cast drain with no problem. I would buy this again..

The wrecker is the perfect name for this blade. I used it for a whole house demo. The 6″ size is perfect in cutting through studs and drywall. The fang tip made it easier to plunge cut into wood and drywall. The coating on it wears off after a while but it does seem to cut through things faster then typical blades. The blade if more study and rigid and doesn’t permanently bend like other blades do. The description says it can cut metal but I would use a specific metal blade depending on the thickness of the metal to be cut. I highly recommend these blades as they are my main blade used for demo projects.

The wrecker is the perfect name for this blade. I used it for a whole house demo. The 9″ size is perfect in cutting through almost anything. I highly recommend these blades as they are my primary blade used for demo projects.

Blade works well. I cut several pieces of cast iron with it and it’s still good. I did cool the blade a few times using water which is key to keeping the blade cool. As we know heat is Bad.. !!Bad heat.. Cool good..!!

The Milwaukee 9 inch sawzall blade is a quality and durable blade. Thick blade that will resist bending when cutting and the carbinde teeth give the blade that added cutting power. The long blade makes easy work of thick wood, PVC or metal. Nails in wood when doing demo work are no match either. The long blade is great for cutting straight through walls while remodeling. Made in the USA

Works really good in old house demo work. The blade gums up when cutting a tree stump with chain link fence embedded in the stump.
