This saw is very convenient out of the box but once you go to cutting something you better have put on a better blade and a bigger battery or else you won’t be cutting through anything thicker than a 2×4

Great saw for the DIY person. I’ve used it just a few times to cut shelf boards but it cut clean and was very easy to use. It isn’t nearly as loud as either my old B&D or Craftsman 7-1/4″ saws, and is MUCH lighter in weight but still a solid feel in the hand. Not having to worry about the cord is great. Allow me to concentrate on the cut, not the cord. The included 24-tooth blade worked well for my purpose but I did buy a 40-tooth Diablo for the “finer” work. This is my first experience with a “left-handed” saw and found following the cut line much easier to see. I already had 2 Milwaukee 2.0 ah batteries so used one and had no issues with power or longevity but doubt that battery would last through several 2×4 or 3/4″ plywood sheet cuts. I’ll get a 5.0 ah battery for the saw. Overall, very happy with this saw and recommend it to any DIY person wanting an easy-to-use saw.

I’m a veteran carpenter. This is the 3rd 6 1/2″ Milwaukee I’ve owned. All of them are being used. I remove the guards and install a 7 1/4″ blade on them. My original is 19 years old, the 2nd one is a Fuel model which has been to warranty repair twice at no charge, noteven shipping. I like this newest one only 100.00 bucks super quiet saw, just keep sharp blades on it. Use dull blades when cutting nail or screw infested wood.Using high output batteries is a plus.

I would have given a 5 if it came with a matching Rip Fence. Also why the rip fence tightening screw is at an angle??
