The M12 saw I recently purchased worked great for light use sawing. I purchased that saw because I already have 2 M12 drills with batteries that l can interchange when working on a project. Milwaukee could produce a cutoff wheel that fits the saw for cutting light metal. I was unable to find a compatible wheel for such use. With like accessories the saw would be a 6-star tool.

A solid feeling tool, I have not used it enough to drain the 4.0 battery yet. seems to run slower than what I thought it would but it cuts pretty good even with the supplied blade, can’t wait to pick up a Diablo blade to see what it does. The only circular saw i have ever bought that didn’t come with a rip fence / guide.

Accurate, lightweight & comfortable to use. Other reviews complained about binding, make sure the depth guide is set for the wood thickness and it works great. Comes with a framing blade which can leave chippy edges, get a finish blade for finer cuts. Blade size is not a common stock item in stores but easily available online. Rip guide is a separate accessory and very useful, worth buying at $15.

It a good saw especially for the 12v platform. I already have a 18v but realized how handy it be would be to have a second saw. Nice to have two saws and have one on the two different voltage platforms. But definitely not a 18v saw. But works great for what I need and works well.
