The Milwaukee M12 FUEL Installation Drill/Driver Kit features 4 dedicated solutions, delivering unrivaled access and control with up to 300 in./lbs. of maximum torque. 4 dedicated heads, including a 3/8 in. Chuck, Offset Driver, 1/4 in. Hex and Right Angle, can attach in 16 different positions. This provides users with a 4-in-1 drilling and driving solution that is purposefully designed to reach challenging locations. The compact drill driver features a slim tool profile and an inline grip in the back of the tool that provides ultimate tool control and unrivaled access. The front of the tool is equipped with a magnetic bit holder that securely holds multiple bits, enhancing user productivity. These unique features combine with the tools compact size and weight enabling users to maneuver the multi-head drill/driver for maximum versatility and best access in hard to reach places. The modular drill/driver is equipped with a POWERSTATE Brushless Motor, delivering users with 1600 RPM and 300 in./lbs. of torque. This provides them with the necessary power for installation applications, especially in electrical, cabinet installation, MRO, HVAC, automotive and remodel applications. The installation drill/driver features REDLINK Plus Intelligence, protecting the user’s tool from overloading or overheating. I haven’t had a chance to use this a whole lot, but the little I have used it has been great. It has the power to sink a 3″ screw in poplar with no pilot hole. One cool feature I just realized is that you can double up the right angle attachment. So you can put the right angle attachment on, then put on another attachment to the right angle. This makes it even more versatile.

Very excellent unit, has surprisingly a lot of torque in first speed, and has pretty good speed in second speed. It’s compact and easy to grip. Haven’t had the opportunity to try it in real tight places, but it looks like a winner. The four chucks snap on and off very easily. I’ve only had it a couple weeks and I’m completely satisfied and it completely met my expectations.

Overall I am very impressed with the drill and its abilities. I’ll break my thoughts down into a few topics.Packaging:- The unit comes in a very nice case that houses the drill, attachments, batteries, and charger each in their own compartment. There are also velcro straps to keep everything from shifting.Attachments:- The attachments are all high quality with metal internals and connectors.- The diversity in types of attachments is great, and they are stackable into different configurations so you can reach oddly placed fasteners. Power:- The torque is what you would expect for a compact 12v drill. It has plenty of power to drill pilot holes, drive 2-1/12in screws into lumber, and tighten fasteners on household items. It will struggle with higher torque applications like driving heavy gauge screws into lumber, but then again it isn’t designed for that.Ergonomics:- The unit is light and fits well in the hand. Build quality is what you can expect from Milwaukee. Gripes/room for improvement:- The light is right above the trigger, which is useless when using any of the offset attachments. It would be nice to have a ring of lights around the chuck like on the 4th gen impacts.- Changing the spin direction is awkward and requires a button push instead of the usual rocker switch above your hand. This isn’t a huge deal, but worth calling out.I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a small handy drill that can reach into tight spaces.
