The 12V max CXT Lithium-Ion Cordless 3/8 In./1/4 in. Sq. Drive Ratchet Kit (RW01R1) is designed to loosen nuts and take the nut off the bolt. This ratchet features interchangeable 3/8 in. and in. anvils for versatility. The kit includes the ratchet, 12V max CXT Lithium-Ion 2.0Ah Battery, 12V max CXT Lithium-Ion Charger and 2 anvils. The powerful Makita-built motor delivers 35 ft./lbs. of Maximum Torque. When the motor is not engaged, the ratchet can be used manually. Operator fatigue is reduced when the motor is engaged and due to the lightweight, ergonomic design. The low profile design provides improved handling in tight spaces and for overhead applications. For longer run time, 12V max CXT cordless tools are also compatible with the 12V max CXT Lithium-Ion 4.0Ah battery (BL1041B, sold separately). 12V max CXT Lithium-Ion Batteries are engineered with a Battery Protection Circuit that protects against overloading, over-discharging and over-heating. Its part of the expanding 12V max CXT series, combining performance with superior ergonomics in a compact size.

This was the only LIon ratchet I considered. Makita quality, slim profile, and the ability to exchange the 1/4 and 3/8″ drives (keeps the profile thinner). QUALITY tool, strong for its size and voltage.

The only thing wrong with this is the length(I wish they’d made a long neck version). Also, It’s hard to get the anvils out when switching from 1/4 to 3/8’s and vice versa. You have to use a screw driver to poke them out.

This is by far one of my favorite tools from Makita! The 12-volt max cordless ratchet. I will put this ratchet in the top three with Milwaukee and the Earthquake from HF. I have all three but this Makita has taken first place with power and speed and ergonomics. I must mention it’s very lightweight and easy to hold in the hand when you working plus the bright LED light comes in handy. With 35lbs of torque and the speed’ makes this cordless ratchet Superior over the other competitors. With my two 4.0 Amp Hour batteries I have used this cordless ratchet 3 days straight with medium to heavy use and still have three bars left. I really recommend this tool to anyone who really wants a top of the line cordless ratchet.
