The Makita 18-Volt LXT Lithium-Ion Sub-Compact Brushless Cordless 2-piece Combo Kit (CX200RB) lets users do more with less, with two ultra-compact cordless solutions for drilling, driving and fastening in a more compact size with significantly less weight. Outstanding tools. The niche being served here is for users who want small size and portability of 12V drill/drivers but want full compatibility with 18V Makita battery platform. I bought these because my current project required a lot of overhead work crawling and climbing to install ceiling and lights, and drilling and driving in close quarters. Perfect for those tasks. I really like “assist” setting on impact driver – because I am prone to strip out screws. Tried out Milwaukee compact drill/driver as well, also very nice. Milwaukees were sturdier, had more raw power, but Makitas felt more refined, better designed. Close call.
