Nice balance but …Double shot on single shot:(No consistency in depth.I used this for siding and it was a pain. I wish I had bought the rigid instead.I have a white elephant and can’t get rid of it.

Worked well, some double-fires, no jams.

Out of the box it looks nice however, the tray adjustment for the nail size does not line up correctly and it jams almost every other roll of nails. You might want to buy a different brand.

So far this is a well functioning nail gun seams to hold up under pressure of a hot roof and fast pace

Picked this nailer up today because they didnt have the milwauki in stock. Its the first makita tool ive ever bought and was skeptical but put down 10 squares with it today and every thing was perfect. Had a few double fires but other than that no problems. The guy I work with has been doing roofing for 25 years and he said it felt really nice. Only other thing was the tip felt a little stiff at first but prolly just had be broken in because it felt good by the end of the day.

Ran pretty good, piston would stick after about 4 hours then had to oil it again and it would run great.

Great tool to work with as It handles real heavy duty job and is fairly priced. I went to the pro-desk to return the smaller one I purchased in error and the lady who assisted me, although in the end was not the one who located the replacement was very customer focused. Great team!

If a DIY homeowner is lucky, they will never have to do their own roof more than twice in a lifetime, before they grow too old to handle such a project alone. I did my first roof (1500 sq.ft) in 1995 using a hammer. In 2016 at age 67, I did the same roof again with a bit of help from my girlfriend, this time using a new Makita AN451 bought from HD. I have no regrets having bought what is probably the most expensive gun on the market today. Very few miss-fires and very easy to use. Many of my other power tools are from Makita and have been working for decades. After only one project, I will be selling this gun second-hand at half price because at age 90, I will be too old to do it a third time.

I am building a new house which has Allura fiber cement siding. I didn’t want to have to buy both a separate siding nailer and roofing nailer so i purchased this Makita nailer and used 1 3/4 ” roofing nails per manufacturer. This nailer worker perfect I didn’t have any issues with misfeed or double nailing through 1200 sq feet of siding and 19 squares of roofing architectural shingles with out one single double feed or misfeed. This tool is awesome!
