Having one at the office and one at home makes it very easy to go back and forth using external monitors and wireless keyboard & mouse. The only reason for not giving it 5 stars is I wish it powered the laptop itself instead of having to use my own power cord.

I recently bought a MacBook Pro to replace both an old MacBook Air and an even older iMac. This docking station turns the MacBook Pro into a full-fledged desktop substitute (with keyboard, mouse, monitor, etc.) Docking and undocking is a snap. The ethernet port is an added bonus, restoring a feature that Apple, in its wisdom, decided we don’t need anymore. Product support is amazing. When I hooked up the docking station, I couldn’t get sound to play through external speakers connected to the docking station. I called Landing Zone’s toll-free number and was immediately connected with an actual person with actual technical competence who spent a lot of time on the phone with me. Ultimately unable to solve the problem, the rep told me they’d send a replacement, which they’d first test to ensure it was working properly. The replacement arrived a couple of days later. I hooked it up and had the same problem. I called again and spoke with another rep. We tried a few fixes and eventually figured out that the problem had nothing to do with the docking station. (The culprit was the audio-out setting in the app I was using to test the sound.) The company couldn’t have been more gracious and accommodating in dealing with my problem.

Saves time, is easy to use, and supports multiple connections. Easy to dock and undock. Follow instructions as closing the laptop lid works best for docking and undocking.

I originally ordered the Henge Dock and quickly realized it would not meet my needs. I called B&H and the sales rep explained this product would supply what I was looking for. When I received it, it was easy to assemble. I love being able to keep my MacBook open while using this dock, thus providing a 2nd screen.
