The Cobra QuickSet combines all proven properties of the KNIPEX Cobra with an additional push on function which makes it easier to work in very confined and inaccessible areas. This is my first purchase of a Knipex product after spending tons of time reading and watching reviews of the Cobra Series Pliers and other tools they make. I’m an electrician and by and large own and use mostly Kline hand tools. This particular tool has completely sold me on Knipex. The quality, feel, and ease of use are simply remarkable. The hardness of the steel is NOTICEABLE! They grip like no other channel locks I’ve used to date and I’ve used quite a few such as Channel Lock brand, Milwaukee, Dewalt, and others. Let me rephrase a bit, the Milwaukee set which I still own grips quite well too, but the teeth are starting to show signs of wear and they are not that old. The marks left by the Knipex on bolts and pipe fittings will show you just how hard the steel is and no slipping and no signs of wear on the teeth. The QuickSet feature is quite handy and the more I use the pliers the more efficient I become with it. It was a bit clumsy, at least for me, at first but I can tell it will be a blessing in the future and for the price of the pliers without the QuickSet feature, I would recommend spending the extra few bucks for it. After all, if you’re buying a hand tool like this, you are buying it for life. My next 2 purchases will be the 9.5 linesman pliers with crimp and fishtape pulling feature to replace my Klines, and the pliers wrench.which is an amazing tool to save your nuts and fittings from the brutal scares left if you were to use the Cobras.

Premium quality as you expected. If you want the best, this is it. The QuickSet takes a bit to get used to and is not as smooth as I thought. But you can just push the button at any time to make the change as the manual one. It is actually $4-5 cheaper than the regular version probably because of all the complaints about the QuickSet. So just get it and use it whichever way fits you the best.
