I recieved this planer a few days ago. It is by far the best planer I have ever used. It runs very smooth and is extremely quiet. The infeed and outfeed table extensions take some patience to get aligned.

I had been using a desk top planer before the Jet Unit but this is just a huge improvement. Out of the box the only adjustment I made was to lower the in feed roller .020. Boards feed straight through and the cut quality is excellent with very little snipe and often no visible snipe at all. I usually take off 1/16 per pass and occasionally 1/8. Power is never an issue. I also like the relatively low weight of this unit say compared to the Powermatic. I have a small shop so portability was important. I am very happy with this unit.
