The IOGEAR Active Mini DisplayPort to HDMI Adapter converts any mini DisplayPort or Thunderbolt connection into an HDMI port and supports resolutions up to 3840 x 2160. It’s also designed to deliver up to 8 channels of audio without the need for carrying a separate audio cable. This 3.5″ (8.9cm) adapter actively changes the signals coming from your Graphics Processing Unit to communicate with virtually all HDMI-enabled displays. Moreover, it features a plug-n-play design that requires no external power, software, or drivers.

Works great but I didn’t get any audio out of it. Must check into that.

Does not support 4K. My other adapter from another company has no problem. Use my laptop with 4K monitor and wanted to do this also at another site but this one does not work as advertised, just provides HD and therefore 1/4 the resolution.
