I was having trouble with my compressor. It was dragging amps and would trip the circuit breaker once the temperature hit 30 degrees. I drained the oil from it, I replaced it with this compressor oil. What a difference the oil made. It now runs and doesn’t foam like the old oil did. Compressor runs alot cooler also. Good buy.

The Husky full synthetic compressor oil is what I needed to change the oil on my Husky 30 gallon V head compressor. The only reason why I didn’t give it a 5 star rating was because the oil doesn’t list the viscosity or weight of the oil. The compressor calls for 30wt non detergent oil.

I finally changed the oil in my reciprocating piston air compressor after forty-years of having the same 10W/40 detergent motor oil in the crankcase. My compressor does not specify to use either non-detergent or detergent oil. It appears that the detergent motor oil I used in my compressor has done a good job of keeping the crankcase clean and keeping the contaminates in suspension without emulsification of the oil. My used oil appears darker in the pan than it really is, although it is black from carbon deposits. Most synthetic oils today are really only hydro-cracked conventional oils refined to a very uniform consistency allowing them to be labeled as true synthetics. The molecular uniformity of any lubricating oil allows it to perform the same over a wide range of temperatures without the need of viscosity improvers common in multi viscosity oils as recommended for my compressor pump. A 16-ounce bottle of Husky Synthetic non-detergent compressor oil did not completely fill my crankcase. Owners of two and three horsepower twin cylinder air compressors may wish to purchase two 16-ounce bottles to avoid having to return to the store for more oil. After replacing the 40-year-old lubricating oil in my compressor with Husky Synthetic non-detergent compressor oil, it ran exactly as it did as on detergent 10W/40 motor oil. So I hope that it will run for another 40-years.
