I bought this model nearly 7 years ago and have been very happy with it. The self-cleaning feature may have contributed to its longevity. The original iron still works perfectly, but the on/standby indicator light burnt out. Researching the topic seems like an iron that lasts 3+ years have given good service. I would rate this one as excellent enough to purchase again.
