I ordered three of these. The form factor is great and fits very nicely with the Kasa Smart Plugs I intend to use them with, however they are cheaply made and I’m a bit concerned over their safety. All three of the Wall Taps have a lot of give on each of the electrical polls that insert in to the wall outlet (or other device). I mean it’s normal to have some give, but these have much more give than any other device I’ve ever seen. (see photo of polls) One of the devices also had a rattle inside. I opened the Wall Tap with my pry tools (see images) and the rattle is one of the support sticks (Center) that did not set properly in manufacturing and broke off. Also opening it using my pry tools destroys the unit due to how they are built (the plastic is melded together when the lid is placed on during manufacturing). Other comparable Wall Taps that use screws to hold the lid on don’t suffer from this type of issue and have less of a chance of the lid coming apart during operation. Another of these Wall Taps I received rattle a bit too, but it seems to just be the very loose polls doing the rattling and not that there is something broken inside like the other one. Finally the third of these Wall Taps I received do not rattle and seem fine, but the polls are still pretty loose, but not as loose as the other two. I definitely see inconsistent manufacturing of how these are built. I would stay away from these. Wish I could find another one as small as these that are built better.
