Flexible head pry bar set is made with high quality steel and comes in a range of light and medium duty sizes. While not quite as strong as fixed heel type pry bars the additional flexibility provided by this set is really handy to have access to when it is essential to get into restricted spaces and apply leverage.The red button controls and locks the head in any one of fourteen preset positions throughout a 180 degree arc. The button is quite stiff to operate but that will almost certainly prevent any accidental movement of the button and the prying head. All of the pry bar heads are the same size at three inches long. The rounded shafts and good sized handle enable a good grip and plenty of leverage without the handle digging in to the hand. The black anodised finish looks good and will help to prevent rusting of the metal.

This GearWrench 3 piece pry bar set includes an 8 inch, a 10 inch and a 16 inch pry bar. The foot on all three will index up to 180 degrees. These are well made, stout tools. They have a lifetime warranty. The indexing head allows multiple prying positions for awkward work spaces. This three peice set should cover most prying needs. I have lots of GearWrench tools and I’m impressed with their design and high quality.

Was surprised to see these pry bars that index to different orientations but I can see how they would be useful in a tight spot. There are three sizes and the smallest one has a narrow head which should be useful getting in to small spaces. They are made of strong steel and have a sharp tip on the prying foot. The largest one of the 3 is much larger than the other 2. They are made by Gearwrench whom I have found to make reliable tools for a good price.

The first thing to think about is that these are only pry bars. They are not designed to remove nails. With that in mind, they do a great job of what they were designed for. The indexing is solid. The release latch to index them is the red button on one side. It is stiff enough that you are not going to push it accidently. It is also easy to see when it is fully engaged.The indexing has a wide range of motion. You should be able to get an angle that will work in almost any place. I am using these to remove 1″ flooring in a closet. The flooring was installed before the walls, so it is a bit of a challenge to get out. Trying it with a standard pry bar results in hitting the wall. With these bars, it is fairly easy to pry out the section.

The 3 – Piece GearWrench Indexing Pry Bar Set is, in my opinion, a very affordable must have to be added to any DIY or far that matter, professional’s tool collection. My first project was to replace an old worn alternator belt on one of the small tractors on our ranch. The 16 inch pry bar was utilized to apply pressure to the backside of the alternator housing while tightening the adjustment bolt.The second duty was removing hitch-pins from the 3-point hitch at the rear of the tractor so repair could be Meade to the implement. Two thumbs up!

The set comes in 8″, 10″ and 16″ sizes. The heads flex to 14 positions over 180 degrees. See the photo attached for examples. The different sizes and positions allows you to maneuver into tight spaces. The tool is solidly made and feels good in the hand. It works well for most light to medium weight needs. But others who have used the product for heavy jobs have complained of its fragility. The ratcheting head is the weak spot. If you’re looking for a heavy duty tool buy something larger with a fixed head. These are great to keep handy for lighter work.

These pry bars are well made and sturdy. Different lengths let you use leverage to take care of those more difficult and hard to reach areas. I would prefer if the claws were a little longer and even thinner but they are still very good. The claws are slightly rounded and this helps as you are prying hard fast objects. The grips are a little small for my hands but overall these are good quality and effective at what they do. Good value for the cost.
