These are nice pliers. The jaws meet well, they are well machined, and the soft grips seem sturdy. Even the plastic carrier they came in is reasonably sturdy, worth saving to keep them stored well. The size is nice and the adjustment for size works. They are far better than HF pliers, about as good as my nicest ones. I haven’t found this brand completely trust worthy (early failure of a ratchet) but these pliers are definitely well made.

This 4-piece plier set is a perfect balance of affordable and durable. It is perfect for someone putting together a homeowner’s toolbox and/or could be useful in case of a mechanical failure when kept in a car trunk. Each piece opens smoothly, jaws close squarely, the cutting edges are sharp and line up correctly when closed. Lastly, the coated handles make for comfort in colder weather and help to provide a secure grip. Keep in mind that this set is not meant for use on energized electrical equipment.

This is a very nice basic set of commonly used wrenches and pliers. Great for homeowner who want a quality set that will last for some time. They are made primarily of solid metal construction with soft dipped non-slip grips. The pliers are rather large sizes as nosewell as the needle nose pliers. For the average homeowner,t only does a few tasks and jobs each year, this would be a very good set to have. They are not a high-quality professional set, not a significant investment cost for tools.Like it a lot.

Very nice set of pliers, they have some weight to them and seem to be heavy duty. The dipped handle grips are comfortable and should hold up well. Needle nose pliers have a good length to them. Diagonal pliers are good and sharp. They all come with a oil coating on the exposed metal surfaces. Overall a good quality set of pliers that I should get many years out of.

This is an outstanding quality set of pliers at a bargain price. They all feel comfortable in the hands and perform flawlessly. Gear Wrench ships these with a nice coat of oil to prevent corrosion. One thing that sets this plier set above some of the competition is they don’t have that pesky nut bolt combination that always loosens up and allows the plier to slip. These are precision machined and can never loosen up. This plier set comes with a harder plastic tray that is convenient to store the pliers in a tool drawer. There’s no play in the jaws of these pliers and the teeth are nice and grippy. I highly recommend

This is a really nice, substantial set of wrenches! Ordered these because the old ones we have are getting worn and were badly in need of updating! These have the dipped handle grips, which is really nice and allows a much better grip and control when trying to use the tools. The red is also nice, because it makes the wrenches easier to spot when they get laid down mid-project. This is a nice assortment and covers many of our needs.

Good quality steel alloy tools feel solid in your hand. they open and close smoothly. The rubbery handle covering offers a comfortable grip that helps with control. The serrated teeth on the pliers offer a firm grabbing surface. The 8 inch slip joint pliers open wide enough to grip up to about 1.75″ diameter. The needle nose pliers include a wire cutter almost as strong as the heavy duty wire cutter tool.

Really nice set of pliers to be sure. They come very well oiled in a plastic case which I dont think is designed to be reused but I suppose you could. There are 4 in total so you really have a nice set. The ONLY thing I will say that might use some improvement is the channel-lock type pliers. When they are fully closed the handles are a little close together. You can see in one of my pictures what I am talking about. The only thing that might make this okay is the fact that you will likely have something in the pliers when you are clamping down on something which would then make the handles be farther apart. All in all though they are a really nice set and they feel really well built.

First let me say that I have, and have had, a lot of hand tools. Inexpensive ones, expensive ones and many in-between. These Gearwrench tools rate up there with the best. The weight is perfect, there are no cheap cast marks anywhere on the parts, and they seem as though they will last forever. I moved some of my lesser ones out of my tools box to make room for these.

Gearwrench is an up and coming brand that I’ve become loyal to. But this product needs a bit more.I discovered Gearwrench only in the last year. I’ve been extremely impressed by their automotive tools. They really are the best! Turns out Gearwrench is part of Apex Tool Group which make a lot of quality tools. Look them up, they have an interesting history.I still won’t hesitate to buy this brand as there is clearly attention to detail in the design and manufacture of them. The tools are quality made. Don’t worry about them being made in China, they are quality made.I took off one star because I was using the “slip pliers” of this set and felt they didn’t have as much bite as my classic pliers of 40 years ago by the company that invented them. The other tools in the set are fine. The teeth need to be a bit deeper.I’m getting really picky here. The slip pliers teeth are about 1/2 millimeter shallower than the classic tool. That still makes a difference! I’d also like to see the jaw length be a few mm’s longer for this size.Otherwise, the tool works great. The dipped red handles are super. They all work well. They just need that little tiny bit of refinement to get 5 stars in my book.Made in China
