This refill is for an older product so not readily available but does its job quite well.

Easy to install. Could tell the difference in water quality as soon as I had run the recommended amount of water through it.

Filters work perfectly and do a much better job than the generic ones I had been using. Will probably last longer too. Alos, these filters have gaskets on both ends to ensure a tight fit where the generics do not.

My RO system is an older model and hard to find the right filter but the home Depot has it

I use these replacement filters in my kenmore dual stage water filter since they are universal. Its hooked up to my refrigerator and does a great job at a good price. This bypasses my GE Profile refrigerator filter because the GE filter (RPWFE) is expensive and a waste of money.

Took longer than expected to remove discoloration, cloudiness from new filters. Wife was scared to drink the water at first. Does do its job cleaning the water, been using these for several years now. Fit well in filter system.

I’ve used these replacement filters (every 8 months because there’s only two us) for several years now. Requires some effort in maintenance (cleaning) each time, and hold your breath there won’t be leaks on reassembly (like a charm the most recent two times). Water tastes great.

I purchased the GE filter unit at least 10-15 years ago to replace a faucet mounted style filter, so I’ve been buying these replacement filters for a long time. The water doesn’t seem to taste much better than the non-filtered water. I just assume it contains less contaminates since that’s the purpose! I would recommend these filters if you already have the unit because some cheaper filters had reviews were very negative, saying the filters came apart; I’ve never had that happen with these GE filters. However, I am concerned about the responses from GE representatives in the other reviews concerning which filter goes into which canister. All these years, we’ve been putting the green ringed filter in the left (intake), as the directions on the wrapper indicate (see Image). This time, I put the light gray ringed filter in first. I hope this is correct.

Be sure to clean out the canisters before installing these. I was surprised by the very fine charcoal left from the previous filters. These are very “tight” filters, and seem to have reduced water flow through them compared with the prior filters, but it is still adequate for the single tap they feed. No change in taste, but we live in an area with very good water quality to start with. It does take a long time, like a day or two, before the filters are thoroughly saturated and the water from the tap isn’t slightly aereated.

I’ve used this GE water system for years. Never had any issue with its function. There is no after taste and the water is great. I’ve had water from Brita systems and there is always after taste.
