Tungsten Carbide Cutters are ideal for shaping, smoothing or removing material from especially hard materials. These are tough, long-lived cutters for use on hardened steel, fired ceramics and other hard materials. They can be used for engraving on tools and garden equipment.
- Shapes, smooth or grinds a variety of materials including: hardened steel, stainless steel, cast iron, nonferrous metals, fired ceramics, plastics and hard woods
- A high-speed cutter made of tungsten carbide, the hardest material next to diamonds
- Use higher speeds for cutting hard woods, slower speeds for metals and very slow speeds for plastics
- Use the sides of the cutter (rather than the tip) for effective cutting
- Bit diameter inch: 1/8 in.
- Shank diameter 1/8 in., 3,2 mm

Worked on travertine and slate very well and was pleased, still have life left to use it again

the bits work ok on wood. they are perfect to get into tight spaces and make odd cuts. but they do dull quickly and make a horrible stink with smoke and burn the edge. so i guess not the greatest way to make longer cuts. plus dremel is difficult to control.

It really cuts!

Just the ticket for hardened steel. The only other burr that cuts hardened knife blade steel is diamond and they are slow and wear out quickly. This carbide burr cuts much faster (still slow in hr58 ish) but at least it moves some metal. Still feels as sharp as it started out which surprised me.

It worked really well, the problem I had was that I had to cut out some fairly deep threads.

Did just what I got it for. Good bit

It drilled out the easy out.

I used it to cut and shape an aluminum cover. I kept the work surface wet to help keep the bit clean of material. Worked clean and smooth

Very good tool. Just make sure you don’t overheat the cutter or your work piece. Make sure you wear safety glasses and proper clothing. This thing will shed a lot of metal.

Works great when used with my Roto Zip…I’m a contractor and need the extra “zip” that a Dremel can not provide.

The Dremel 1/8 in. Rotary tool accessory works great.

It did exactly what I needed.

This did exactly what I needed it to do which was cut a shape in a steel flat bar. It saved me hours of cutting that I would have otherwise had to do with a hacksaw, vice grip, and several other tools not quite right for the job.
