I recently purchased this new Dremel too with the handpiece and attachments. This is replacing a 20+ year old dremel tool. The new tool has more torque and rpms, as well as the ease to change tools faster than I have ever had. The dexterity and ease of use are excellent. I work on items that are being restored, mostly to cut broken studs or screws, drill out others and repair small metal items needed in an assembly. The tool even helps make custom tools for jobs that are very specialized.

My father has always praised the great power-to-weight ratio of tools in the Dremel lineup. I think he has one of each (rotary tool, oscillating Multi-Max, small Ultra-Saw) and a shelf full of accessories (plunge router base, router guide, drill press stand, chain saw sharpener, flex shaft, and more).He’s in his 80s and still going strong with his hobbies. Unfortunately, his arthritis has been getting worse and it limits his ability to hold tools for a long period of time. Fortunately, he re-discovered the the flex shaft which enables him to still work because he doesn’t need to hold the entire tool in his hand.Thanks, Dremel!
