The 12 in. single-bevel compound miter saw is powered by a 15 Amp motor to drive 4,000 RPM, delivering extended power and durability. It features a stainless-steel miter detent plate and cam miter lock that provide repeatable accuracy and durability with easy adjustments. Tall sliding fences support 5-1/2 in. of base molding vertically and 5-1/2 in. of crown molding vertically nested. Its lightweight design and built-in carry handle are ideal for portability.

Excellent single bevel compound miter saw. I upgraded the blade to a 80 tooth blade and the cuts are precise. I am using for DIY projects so didn’t need the double bevel function, and didn’t want the extra weight and size of those models. My only gripe is the dust collection port which is smaller than the standard wet/dry vac attachment. I have not been able to find the universal adapter and wish they would have used the same diameter port for quick attachment to a standard wet/dry vac. I don’t have this problem with the Dewalt table saw which has a dust port that fits perfectly with my wet/dry vac.

It does what it’s supposed to. Cuts, bevels and such. The 4 stars given because the dust collector is basically non-existent. The bag is literally hanging there for decorative purposes. For the price you’d figure it pick up SOME dust.

I replaced a 30 year old 10″ Delta that was used very regularly, so I was looking for another workhorse type of saw. First thing i noticed with this Dewalt is that it’s built very solid, there’s nothing cheap about it. Could have spent way more for a miter saw but for the quality of this one there’s no need to. The 3 safety features are a big plus over my old Delta and the notched stops on the miter plate are really helpful. The only knock on it so far is that it’s noisier that I had hoped.
