It’s not that it’s a bad hammer just that it’s a bit pricey for what it is. That’s my opinion. It’s just a plain hammer.

it lightened up my tool belt and is easier on my wrist

Nice all-purpose hammer. I’d carry a 16 oz if I were framing all the time because this one doesn’t beat 16s in as easily. But if you’re trying to lighten your nail apron, this will help. Returned first one because the claws were too close to go around anything bigger than a 6 but they corrected this problem.

This is a great finishing hammer and should be regarded as such. While it delivers the strike force of a heavier weight hammer, that isn’t it’s ultimately it’s primary intended use. If you need a framing hammer you’d better step up the the 14 oz. version. The rubber mold overgrip is very comfortable when swinging this Mig Hammer around. The rubber handle also aids in tapping wood into position if slight adjustments are needed. Again this hammer is best for finishing nails and it’s no mar prying ability. It’s very well designed and very ergonomic which reduces fatigue. Others have said it makes a ringing sound, it’s slight but only with larger head nails…again not it’s primary intended use! Still it’s hardly something to complain about, personally I find it rather soothing and joyful. Honestly for the price you can’t go wrong, lots of thought and engineering went into making this tool.

Have only had it for a short time but so far am impressed. I build theater scenery and also do residential work so i usually like a smooth face 20 oz. to use for mulitple types of projects. This hammer actually does swing like a 20oz as it says, and has worked well for the light construction and demo that i have put it through so far. I forsee it working well for the mix of framing, finish, and demo that theater work requires. The grip is comfortable and the claws are actually great for pulling nails (i was skeptical because of how short the v is). Have yet to bang it against some steel (besides a pry bar) so i cant speak for durability yet but everything ive seen so far says it will last. Vibration is about the same as an estwing and i feel like the real drawback will be the lack of mass to really persuade pieces into position. If thats trade off for a comfortable, lightweight hammer, im happy with it.

Very nice. Being a contractor I use my hammer daily so it’s nice to have a comfortable hammer that won’t leave blisters after heavy use. I’ve owned one for two years now and still love it. So much I purchased my dad his own for Father’s Day.

I used to have a 22 oz. Stanley hammer that I loved. Disappeared somewhere and needed a replacement that won’t see anywhere near as much use but I wanted that feel. Had my doubts about this hammer but was pleasantly surprised. This had all of the striking power of that old 22 but nowhere near the weight. Very little vibration and that was driving masonry nails. Wish I had the chance to put it through a few days of work like the old Stanley used to get! Nah. Not really!
