I’v had my hammer drill for almost 2 years now and it still works great. Very powerful for its size and weight. The only complaint is the chuck sometimes opens up while drilling but not often enough to make it a big deal.

I initially bought this because the reputation of DeWalt. However, I’m very dispointed by the poor quality of this product. I bought this Hammerdrill to drill 1/2″ with 3″ deep hole on concrete. The chuck opened a few times on the first hole and it totally break down in the mid of the second hole drilling. I had to mail it back to home depot since I ordered it online.

Felt vibration is low, while the hammering action drills into masonry with far less effort, and with more pecise hole diameter, than with conventional twist drill. The keyed chuck holds the bit securely. Works fine in simple twist mode as well. A little large and heavy for many of my simple drilling needs around the house, but if you need to drill more than a few holes in concrete or masonry, this is a great tool to have in your hands.
