Great coffee, but the reason for 3 stars instead of 5 is minus 1 star it uses #4 filters vs the lower cost filters (if you choose). Secondly I get up very early. It would be great if the dog stayed asleep when it was done brewing. Instead, my dog decides to wake up the whole house. I learned very quick to have my dog outside while coffee is brewing.Little things, but otherwise a great coffee maker.

This is our third Cuisinart 12-cup coffee maker and replaces one we gave to a friend. The coffee from these is always excellent, seeminly the perfect drip ratio. The ability to program a turn-on time means there is fresh coffee ready to go the minute one wakes up in the morning. Reliability is excellent, about 7 years per pot with daily use. Best of all when living ion the woods is that the power hiccups we have frequently will not change the automatic turn-on time unless the outage lasts more than 10 minutes or so..
