Bought this blender so I could make healthy smoothies. It does a great job with the designated smoothie button. You can modify the blending time on any of the presets. I bought this about a month ago. So far, we have only used it to make smoothies but this thing is great! Last night, I threw about a cup of frozen (right out of the freezer) peaches in to make a smoothie. Used the fruit smoothie setting and in the 45 seconds it defaults to for a fruit smoothie, those peaches were smooth as silk! Green smoothies are also smooth. It’s a beast. Only complaint is that it is loud. But I guess it has to be to do the job it does. And clean up is a BREEZE! Highly recommend for this purpose.
