The 40′ Pro AV/IT Active USB A Male to USB B Male Extender Cable from Comprehensive extends the range of USB devices by up to 40′. It uses a center booster format to allow for placement behind wall plates as you can add up to 15′ to either end of this cable. This extension cable buffers the incoming and outgoing signals to ensure compliance with the USB 2.0 specification for electrical and timing minimums. It is designed for use with USB 2.0, 1.1 or 1.0 devices, including webcams, interactive whiteboards, and printers. The molded strain relief provides durability.

I purchased this 3ft USB cord for my new Brother HL-L2300D and it fits very loosely onto the printer. It fits into my laptop OK but it’s very loosely connected on the printer. Occasionally I had to jiggle it so I just bought a different brand.
