The Capri Tools Low Profile Flex-Head Ratchet is the go-to ratchet that combines performance and versatility. It features a 72-tooth fine ratcheting gear, needing only 5° of swing arc for each turn. The small swing arc is essential for working in narrow spots but also helps you get the job done faster. With a true single-pawl gear design, the ratchet has an unparalleled ratcheting mechanism that is a joy to use. It also allows us to construct the ratchet with a low profile so you can work in more places that have a small clearance. 180° flex-head makes it easy to navigate odd angles and tight corners. Anti-dust design seals out dusts and debris to protect the gear and maintain internal lubrication for sustained high performance over time. The ratcheting gears works in both directions with a flush mounted lever that you can switch with just a flip of your thumb. That ratchet has our flawless SmartKrome plating, achieved by thorough polishing and careful application of chrome protective plating, to ensure durability and corrosion resistance. This model has a 1/2 in. drive.

The Capri Tools 3/8 inch Drive 72-Tooth Flex-Head Low Profile Ratchet (part# CP12300FX ), where shall I begin… I own a lot of tools and to start, the finish is stellar. The tolerances are tight yet, not too much resistance is present. Now, positive detents do exist and are a nice additive. I thought the anvil provided an adequate grip on my sockets and extensions new and old. And finally, the ratchet mechanism. I utilized this ratchet on door strikers, seat bases & a few areas within the cab of a 3 year old farm unit. Never did the mechanism slip and the 5° swing was positively noticed in tight places. Two thumbs up Capri!

The 180 degree swing, 72 tooth, flat head, 3/8 drive ratchet by CAPRI is a very veritable tool. It was constructed to be used in tight places, and the complete design of the head, the lever control, ( which specify on/off direction) and handle grip makes it easy to use. It is the tool that every handy-person needs in their collection of tools. Using this ratchet and a wobble extension, I was able to get at a almost hidden nut in the engine compartment of my auto.

Changing spark plugs on some vehicles can be a challenge due to the tight confined spaces and angles necessary to get at some of the modern engines. Most notably are changing the plugs on a Subaru boxer engine which sits low on the frame and require special effort to get the old plugs out and the new ones installed. Part of being successful is a swiveling head ratchet, and this Capri Tools ratchet is the right tool for the job. The 5 degree engagement is a big plus with less movement necessary in a cramped engine compartment. The longer handle on the ratchet gives added leverage to loosen those stubborn parts which is another big plus. The chrome plating on the ratchet looks great while additing to the tool’s durability. I did notice a little bit of play in the ratchet mechanism but nothing too bothersome. Overall this is a great addition to my tool box, every person that works on automobiles should have one.
