The product description said USB 3.1/3.2 in the details. It is really only 3.0 based on the box and internet.. I needed a low-profile, PCIe-1 USB 3.0 or better. USB3.1 would be nice, but this will give me 3.0 on several desktops. I worked with the B&H sales rep and this is the only one that meets my needs. I haven’t used it yet, but have several Buffalo products, so I presume this will do the job. The rep said he will submit a description change. Several of the USB cards have incorrect or insufficient descriptions, so research is advised. I give it a 4 only to encourage better descriptions.

Very easy to install and works great

I’ve installed three of these in older Windows systems with no USB 3 capability. Install is simple, and they just work with no issues at all. Very pleased each time.

We needed to add USB 3 capability to an older i7 PC we set up as a video live streaming machine. Install was painless and it worked fine. It comes with a small jumper cable to get power to the card from the regular power loom. Also has a shorty mount strip if you are installing in a compact case.
